He was stationed part of the time at Flewer Gap in tie Al eghany mountisn which at that time was as place of rendezvous and shelter for the tories. —forevidence of this service he refers to the affidavit of Stephen King marked A, and annexed who was with him during said tour. After his return homewas called out by Abraham Penn and marched against the tories into N C on the Yadkin river where he understo d the tories had collected. That he

was BORN 20 Dec 1742 in ALBEMAREECOUNTYVA- when called into service he lived wrere he now does in Henry Co Va then a part of Pittsylvania Co. He removed from Albemarle Co Va when he was about 20 years of age and lived in Amherst Co Va and Bedfcrd Col until he_was about 50. when he moved to his present place in Henry 00 Va. where he has resided ever since. He is known to N H Claiborne member of Congress fromhis distirct. AFFID.V1T WAS LADE IN PATRICL COGNTY VA Major Wm£ Ca Carter of said county states that about 18 months since he was at house of Maj Peter Hairston in STOKESCO N C & heard conversation of Anglin who was a son of Philip Anglin of Henry Co Va, that he heard the major say t.at Philip Ang Anglin was in the Revolutionary war. This was dated 1834 Dec 21. VIRGINIA SERVICE OF BENGAMONDBARNES S 12970 PAGE 2, OR BINGAMOND DECLARATIONwasmade September 10, 1852 in Gallatin County Kentucky by Bingamond or Benjamin Barns or Barnes NoSl297O pension, which pension certificate was issued May6, 1855. It appears that he was BORNFeb1, 1766 -place not stated and was the son of FRANCIS BARNESOR BARNS. While a resident of Culpepper Co Va, he enlisted and served as a private with the Virginia Troops as follows; from March 1781, 3 months in Capt H. Reed's or Stanton's Company and he was a substitute for his father; shortly afterward, 5 months in Capt Yancy's and Zimamond's companies in Colonel Edmonds' Regiment and was at the siege of Yorktown and capture of Cornwallis. One William Barns, of Bedford, Trimble County Kentucky stated in July 19 l83¢,(1857) that BingamonBarns was then deceased and that he was his administrator and one of the heirs. There are no data relative to the wife of said Bingamon or Bingamond Barns. VIRGINIA SERVICE OF GEORGE BARNES S 16316 PAGE -3­ DECLARATIONwasfiled in Christian County Kentucky August 16, 1851, by George Barnes age 45, and from the papers in the Revolutionary war Pension claim S 16516, it appears that he enlisted at Hi1lsborough2 Virginia April 1780, served as private ad wagonmaster in Capt Morris‘ company, Col Clark's (Joseph or Jonathan) Virginia Regiment, was in the Siege of 96 and at the battle of EutawSprings, shortly after which battle he was discharged. He stated that on the way, in moving to Kentucky they were attacked by Indians and two of his sons carried off by them. City of Washington 71 --— John Barnes late a private in the Armyofthe Revolution is inscribed on the Pension list roll of NewYork Agency at $8 per month to commence8th June 1818. VIRGINIA SERVICE OF JESSE FORD S5lO55 Page 5 At the time of this application he was at the age of 76 —inthe year 1776 at Alexandria Va he first entered service by enlisting in the Regimental service for a tour of Syears to serve under the commandof Capt John Ashby in the regiment under the commandof Col Thomas Marshall. They first marched in a northern direction to LongIsland and there they joined Gen Washington and there they were in a battle in the year of 1776. They next marched to the Philadelphia and there were in a battle in the year of 1776. They were next marched to Philadelphia and there stationed. He was also with Gen Washington at the Grossing of the DELAWARERiver near Trenton. Thereupon in the latter part of 1780 he was drafted in the militia of Virginia as a private for 3 months and in same was under Col Edmnnds, Major Welsh and Capt Grigsby. They then joined Gen Greene at Charlotte and he next acted as a substitute for his brother WmFord and on that tour marched under commandof the same officers exceot the captain who was O'Barmn? They joined Gen Greene near Williamsburg and he acted again as substitute for his other Brother GEORGEFORDto serve under commandof Capt Bayliss in regiment under Col Churchill and he at that time was also under Major Welsh. Then in the beginning of 1781 he again enlisted to serve under Ca~t Edins in the Artillery Service at Little York in Va. They then joined the main army under Gen LaFayette and also under Gen Washington who joined them. He also served at the Siege of Yorktown as well as at the surrender of Lord Cornwallis. He had been BORN IN CHARLES COUNTY‘ MARYLAND76 years ago, He had entered service from FAUQUIRECOVA in the Va where he had moved when he was only 7 years of age. He stated in open court that he had been residing in Livingston Co, in Kentvcky. The last 26 years. Only one time was he drafted into service of his country. The other time he volunteered. Declaration was made in HARRISONCOUNTYKENTCKY by John Barnes July 11, 1818 ago i 60. It appears from the pension claim W8558, that John Barnes served in the Revolutionary war, that he enlisted in Spotsyl­ vania Co Va as a private in Capt Oliver Towles' company, Col Mordecai Buckner's and in Capt Page's company, Col George Bay1or's Continental regiment of Light Dragoons, served about five years, dates of enlistment and discharge were not given. He was in the battles of Trenton, Princeton, Brandywine, Germantownand MudIsland;Fort, and while serving as a dragoon, was taken prisoner; the date of imprisonment and length were not given. He died Aug 5 1840 in Harrison Co Ky He married 1782, 1785 or Nov 27 1784 in Culpepper Co Va, to Milly ___whose maiden name was not given; Milly Barnes his widow was allowed pension on her application executed March 11 1841, at which time she resided in Harrison Co Ky, age then about 75. James Barnes, the eldest child of John Barnes and his his wife Milly was born about 1785 or 1786, he was living 1845 but his residence was not given. The names of 4 children who lived at homewith the soldier 1820 were Sally, 16, Armstoad, 15, Samuel 14, Betsey 11, or 12, There are no further data in regard to the children of soldier. In 1840 Sarah Baird, of Harrison Co Ky, states she was present at marriage of John Barnes and Milly, also she had resided near them for many years in Harrison Co Ky, (n~ relationship to soldier and family was stated by her) VIRGINIA SERVICE OF RICHARD BARNES R 526 PAGE -7­

DECLARATION was made in HENDRICKS COUNTY INDIANA OCTOBER 1845 6th day by Richard Barnes age 82; applied under the Act of June 7 1852. States he entered service 1781 and served under Col "Calloway, Capt wen Rubel, Sergeant Morvetee, in HENRY COUNTYVIRGINIA,where he then lived and was marched under them from Henry Co Va through Kings County into Queens? Co to Little York Va, and while at Little York, he saw General WASHINGTONANDLAFAYETTEat which place they viewed the lines or the troops, and while at Little York and Vicinity thereof there were occasional fightings between the soldiers of the U.S. and those of Great Brittain, some silled and wounded of both parties but does not recollect the numberkilled and wounded he served 5 months and reed wrmtten disckar e and has lossed his discharge. Wasdischarged a few days before surrender of Lord Cornwallis. Then after that was volunteered under Capt Edward Eggleston and marched by him back to Henry County Va, and served as a minute man for ten months, was in battles during that time but was frequently an active duty. He states he was born in BALTIMORE COUNTYMARYLAND1 1765 February 200 He lived in Henry Co Va when called to service and have lived since the Revolution in Bottetourt Co Va, Madison County and Pulasky County in Kentucky, removed from Ky to Indiana 1852 and have lived in Bush & Shelby countiefi said state and now live in Hendricks Co Ind. The data which follow were obtained from papers on file in the pension claim, S3084Obased upon the military service of Shadrach Barns, He signed as Barns but was pensioned as Barnes. He WASBORNFEBRUARY6, 1764 in Culpepper Co Va and was the son of Francis. While a resident of Amherst Co Va, he enlisted and served 4with the Virginia troops as follows: from March 1 1778, 18 month as private in Capt John Higanbottom's and Rucker's companies in Col Taylor's regiment, the first 2 months of which he served a substitute for his father; from Nov 1 1779, 5 months as a substitute for his father in Gapt WmStanton's companyin C01 Thornton's regiment, from March 1 1780, 3 motnths as a private in Capt Po11ard's Co, in C01 James Slaughter's regiment and was in a skirmish at Petersburg, from Dec 1 1780, 3 months as private in Capt Browning's Co in C01 A1lcock‘s regiment; from March 1781, 3 months as priv te in Capt Le11and's Go, from June 1781, 5 months as private in Capt Reed's Go from June 1781 3 months as private in “apt Reed's Go from Sept 1781, 5 months as sergeant in Capt Yancy's Co in Cul Edmonds' regiment and was in the Siege of Yoflztown. After teh Revolution he moeed to Bourbon CwKy, from there to Woodford Co Ky and from there to Gallatin Co Ky. He died Dec 51 1844, (see Agency Book) There are no data relative to wife and children of the soldier. VIRGINIA SERVICE OF JACOB BUSHONG S 9297 PAGE 9­ DECLARATIONwas made in Columbiana County Ohio, May 15, 1818 by Jacob Bushong, a soldier of the Revolutionary war. The data furnished below were obtained from papers on file file in the Pension Claim S 9247 based upon his said service. He enlisted - place not stated, served as private and artificer with the Virginia troops under Capt Francis Cowherd and was discharged January 17, 1782, from Capt Francis Cowherd COMPANYinthe Second Virginia Regiment, having served eighteen months. He was in the battle of Guilford Court House, was wounded in the battle of Camdenor Hobkirk's Hill, and was in the Siege of NINETY-SIXandthe battle of Eutaw Springs. In 1828 he was living in STARKCOUNTYOHIO. There are no data relative to the soldier's family. The above noted is the history of the only soldier 31 namedJacob Bushong, searched under all spellings, that is found in the Revolutionary war records of the National Archives. VIRGINIA SERVICE OF JOHN BYRNE AND OR BURNS S 42108 DECLARATIONwasmadgfiig Indiana PAGE10'' —he made this in State of Ohio, but in Wayne Co Indiana states that in 1778 he enlisted under major Webbat Middlebrook Jersey in the third Virginia Regiment, on Continental Establish­ ment, commanded by Col HEATH,in the Cempany commanded by Capt Boterf? but that under his enlistment, he continued to serve faithful until the close of the war, at which time he received his discharge from Col Crocket, and was in the , Marinack ? Hakensack, Guilford and Cowpens, that he was woundedin his head, his skull fractured and was also woundedin his ankle. That he is nearly 99 of age this month. He made this declaration 28 June 1818. Also personally appeared Join Ga‘ at same n time and place and that he m is well acquainted with the soldier above named. Onthe back side of the declaration it was shown he applied in Ridgevilie, Warren County Ohio. r VIRGINIA SERVICE OF PERRY CHINN AND ELIZABETH CHIN? The declaration was made 12 Feb 1853 by Perry Chinn . a resident of Surry Co N C, age 70 who applied under the Act of June 7 1852; states he volunteered in 1780 under Michael Wallac Wallace and S8IV6din the regiment of under Capt Michael Wallace Lieut Col Stith—-- Skinker. colonel commandingat the time he entered the service, he was a resident of King George Va—there he volunteered, and marched to Boyds Hole? and from there to the mouth of Mitchodock creek in the lower end of the country of King George Va, after remaining at Mitchadock creek some time he returned to Boydes Hole? after staying there sometimewas discharged. He volunteered different times afterwards in same county under same officers and took the same route but does not recollect the time of any singel tour he served. Twocharacter witness were i ThomasWilliams and Russell Shugart . He was Born in STAFFORDCOUNTYVA 1765, and since the war he has lived in King George Co Va, and since lived part of the time in STAFFORDCOVA and the Balance In Surry County North Carolina. Elizabeth Chinn filed claim in YADKINCOUNTYNORTH CAROLINAAugust 20 1855 age 75, who applied under the Act of 1853 February 5. States she is the wid w of Perry Chinn. That she was married to Perry Chinn 30 December 1825 by Thomas Williams, J P in Surry County North Carolina (that part now Yadkin Co N C ) and he died March 7 1847, in Surry Co N C. And she still remains his widow.“ VIRGINIA SERVICE AND ST. CLAIR'S INDIAN WAR, ORP%i§ Ofizlglé of DANIEL CHRISTY OR CHRISTIE #'R 1944 It appears from the Revolutionary war pension claim R1944 that Daniel Christy was living in Lumberland, Sullivan County, New York in 1830/ and in Thompson, Sullivan Co New York in 1832 at which time he was age 72. He stated that he enlisted at Hickory Town, near khiladelphia May10, 1780 under a Lieutenant or Captain James Bird, that he served in the 6th Virginia regiment, also in C01 Morgan's Rifle Regiment that he was in a skirmish at Elizabethtown point, NgwJersey at the battle of Cowpensand at the Siege of York and that he was discharged November 1783. He1 also stated he was a volunteer at the battle of General St. Clair's Defeat and was one of the party of LEWIS AND CLARKIN THEIR EXPEDITION TO THE PACIFIC, and that during the War of 1812, he was in Capt McClassin's company, 15th reaiment U S Infantry. (The following note is written in pencil: “His name is not on the book of stubs of the Donation lands. Ac t March 3 1807 granted to members of the Lewis and Clark expedition. This book is locked up in safe of INVALDE DIV.“ He applied for pension on account of his service in the Revolution and was called upon to furnish pro f of same which he failed to do and his claim was not allowed. DECLARATION was made in SHELBY COUNTY KENTUCKY SEPTEMBER 18, 1852 by said James Christie -claim no W9782 The data following are obtained from papers on file in said Claim No W 9782 based upon the military service of James Christie in the Revolutionary war. He WASBORN AUGUST16, 1758 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and while a resident of Pittsylvahia County Virginia, enlisted in May1777 and served 5 months as private in the Va company. He enlisted February 1779, served until July 23, 1779, in Capt William’, Witcher's Company. He enlisted March or April 1780, served ten months in Capt Clement's company, Col Faulkner's Va regiment and was in the battle of Camden,(Gates' defeat). James Christie movedfrom Pittsylvahia County to North Carolina to Franklin Co Va to LINCOLN COUNTYKY: THENCETO SHELBYCOUNTYKY. He died in Shelby Co Ky March 8, 1837. James Christie married Mgrch 20 1781 or 1782 in Orange County Va, to Sarah. She was born April 19 . 1762, place not stated, nor names of parents given. Sarah Christie, was allowed pension on her apgflication Sept 10 1858 while living in Shelby Co Ky, and she moved to RIPLEY COUNTYINDIANANand di­ died there March 27 1844. Their sixth child, ISRAELCHRISTIE was age 45 in 1838, and a resident of Shelby County Ky. In 1855 the following named persons were referred to as heirs of James Christie, and and his wife Sarah; James Christie of Ripley County Indiana William Christie of Hendricks county John Christie of 32 Switzerland county Isaac Christie of Ripley county; their 3 sisters, but no names we:e stated. In 1844 Abraham Christie was of Shelby Co Ky and in 1855 reference was madeto Preston Christie. It was not statd that they were related to the family. That 1st May1779 he again served VIRGINIA SERVICE OF JAMES CHRISTY R 1945 and R1946 PAGE 15--­ PAGE2 continued: in Burnsides Fort and continued until 1st Novfollowing; thinks it was in this year a party of Indians cameinto the settlement and murdered William Bradshaw's wife - the circumstances on these Bradshaw had remained at home with his family and 2 of the spys returning to CooksFort called at his cabbin to rest an and informed him when they had been and that they had seen no signs of Indians but not thinking, a family safe in such a situation advised him to leave his cabbin and go to the Fort but he did not consent to do so and in a few hours after the spys left him the house was attact by a small party of Indians and one of them firing at the door which was shut the ball penetrated through the door and lodged in the body of Mrs. Bradshaw and wounded her so badly that she died that night and on Bradshaw's firing his gun through the do r from the inside the Indians rettired without doing any further damage; and 1st Mayin 1780 he again entered service in Burnsides fort and served to 1st Novfollowing; under said Capt Wright. Bradley, clergyman WmStewart and James Cruce states that at one time they were both W311and favorably acquainted with him and thev also state before an open court and upon their oaths that in the neighborhood in which he resided he was reputed to have served the U S in the Revolution. The pensioner's son, Isaac Wheeler states that he h saw his commission and that he believes that he destroyed it. The wife of the said pensioner Susanna Wheeler at the age of 82 appeared in open court,stated that he had been born on July 21 1761 and that her father's name was Henry Clark. Benjamin Fry married May 18, 1802 in Frederick County Virginia, to AnnCadwalader. They were both natives of Frederick Co Va, dates of their births not shown, nor are the names of their parents given. Benjamin Fry died July 28, 1838 in IROQUOISCOUNTYILLINOIS AGE 79 and six months. ' His widow, Ann Fry apylied for pension November 2, 1852 at which time she was residing in Iroquois County Illinois, age 69. She alleged that her husband, Benjamin Fry served 3 years and 8 months as a private under General Washington, Gates and Warren, that he was in the battle of Bunker Hill and "helped to take Burgoyne“. Her claim was not allowed as there was no proof of the alleged service furnished. Immediately after his 3 arrival, he enlisted and served six wee weeks in Capt Campbell's Ce, Col Martin's N C regiment and marchedagainst the Cherokees; shortly after the termination of this ser-ice, he enlisted again, served 5 months in Capt Scott's companyunder Col Sevier and Christie, did guard duty and went on scouting parties against the Cherokees. He was drafted on Saturday, he thinks the 27 December of that year and joined Capt John Triage Company,Thomas Leftridge, Lieut. They marched on the Mondayafter, the draft took place. Through Petersburg, and than to Cabin Point“ Here the company joined the commandof General Lmhlenburg, Col Meriwe— ther and Maj DeClomer? He thinks the Baron Steuben had commandat that place. From this point he was marched to Saffold - he was stationed at Fort upon Elizabeth river six weeks, under Mulenburg, marched thro Dismanl Swampinto North Carolina, to Edenton and from there to Suffo1k—to Cabin point and Petersburg and at this place he was discharged by Capt Trigg. About 1781 Aug 1, he was again drafted ~ he joined company under Capt Mathew Summers and Lt Thomas Cox - rendesvoused at Red stone in Bedford Co and marched immedia­ tely to Points fork or James River 5 and then met General Washington. He was attached to Maj Holcomb, - he was in a skirmish at Hickory Creek church on the March to Ybrk. He received his discharge at Petersburg from Capt Trigg for his first tour and from Capt Cumminsat Yon: for his 2nd tour.

He served in 1781, about five months, part of the time in Capt Webb's company, Col Stevens‘ Virginia regiment, druing xx his service he was at the surrender of Cornwallis at Yorktown. Janes Lane enlisted July 8, 1777, in Uniontown, Pennsyl­ vania for 5 years in Capt James O'Harra' Independent company, which companywas raised by the State of Virginia to be stationed at the mouth of the Great Kanawhariver; he was in Indian Expeditions and in seeeral skirmishes with the savage —in May 1778 part of said company and part of the 9th Va regiment, were sent downthe Mississippi with a cargo of Continental provisions to barter with the Spaniards for clothir ~ing for the troops at Pittsburg, James Lane went on this expedition and returned to Pittsburg about Septemberfollowing. Whenhis companywas attached to the 9th Virginia Regiment, under Col John Gibson, soldier was appointed quartermaster sergeant and served until July 26, 1783. In 1820 James Lane stated his wife was aged 70 and that they had reared six children, all of whomwere then married. He gave no names of wife or children. In 1827 James Lane had moved to Rush Co, Indiana, to be near his chihdren, 2 sons ha ing moved to Indiana. The record of Hugh McGavockof Virginia which is as follows are found in the papers on file in pension claim 316948 Sl6948, based upon his service in the Revolutionary war. Hugh McGavockwas born September 1761; and entered ser ice the latter part of 1779, as ensign, was engaged 2 or 5 months in recruiting menfor the Virginia State service and while residing in that part of MontgomeryCo Va which later became Wythe Co, Va, he joined Feb 8 1780, the company of Capt Kenley who shortly afterwards died and was succeeded by Capt Wm. Cherry, in C01 Joseph Crockett's Va regiment at Albemarle where the soldier was appointed Quartermaster to the regiment. In the fall of 1730 he was ordered to guard prisoners from the barracks at Albemarle to Freierickbown, Maryland, where he remained through the winter of 1780, and while there was promoted to Lieutenant. Early in March 1781, he marched to Pittsburgh, where he arrived in Mayand proceeded on boats to Louisville, (Falls of the Ohionow) and arriving there the last of July 1731, and while on the way to Colonel Floyd's Station about six miles from the falls in companywith Capt Chapmanand AbrahamTipton, they were fired upon by a Party of Indians and both Captains Chapmanand Abraham Tipton were killed, In consequence of the death of both captains, Hugh Mceavockwas entitled to the rank of Captain and never receive -ce1ved his commission,due to the difficulty of obtaining VIRGINIA SERVICE CF TUGH M GAVOCK S 159 8 Page 2 continued: L O 4 PAGE 67' -­ One in such an isolated location. Hugh McGavock‘swife (name not given) did survive him. Reference was madein the claim to the following chil­ dren of the soldier HughMcGavock,the nine last named of whomsurvived him: James McGavockwhodied prior to the soldier's death, leaving a widowand several children, their names not stated.

They were married at her father's house in sa‘d county- he enlisted from Culpefiper County Va June 1814 and was dischrged at Richmond Va December 1814; that the regiment movedfrom Culpepper Co to Fredericksbui -burg and he went into camp Seldon. He was in the battle of Bel; Belle Plains and marched to Richmond. That he was taken sick with white swelling in his limbs and was sent home too sick to know much of the movements. He enlisted at Hillsborough, North Carolina about 1779 or a short time before the defeat of General Gates, and served as private in Capt James ?unn's company, Col MnWashington's regiment of Dragoons and was disccharged near Charleston South Carolina, at the close of the Revolutionary war. John Weaver moved from Halifax County Va to Kentucky about 1815: and was allowed pension on his application executed August 18, 1819 while living in Allen County Ky. In 1820 he was still living there and gave his age than as about 64, He died at his home in Allen Co Ky Jmi 15, 1844. He married December 24 1787 in Halifax Co Va, Patsey Nichols or Nicholds. The date and place of hor birth and names of parents were not stated. Patsey Weaverwas allowed pension on account of the serv ce of her husband John cater, on her apglication executed July 28 1! 1852 at which time she was age 86 and a resident of Allen Co Ky. In 1855 she was still living in Allen Gowhen she stated she was ape 84 with no explanation of thu discrepany. The following data is from papers on file in claim for pension S 14785 based on the military service of Philip Weaver in the Revolutionary war. Philip Weaver was born October 19 1764 in LOUDOUNCOUNTY VIRGINIA- The names of his parents were not stated. A Philip weaver enlisted in Loudouncounty Virginia August 1781 and served as a private in Capt Josiah Moffett's Company in Col West's Virginia regiment, marched to the town of Gloucester Va and guarded the prisoners taken at Yorkton to Noland's Ferry on the Potomac in Loudoun County and was discharged there some­ time in November 1781. He enlisted in December 1781, served in Capt Sumrell's or Lumrel1's Virginia cnmpany, marched to Winches­ ter to g ard British prisoners, an was discharged sometime in March 1782. The papers on file in this claim contain no discernible data in regard to his family. It was stated in 1859 that he lived about nine miles from Laurel County Seat. The data following were obtained from papers on file in the Pension Claim W8995 based upon the military service of Samuel Weaver. This soldier was the son of DANIELWEAVER,was born Nov. 26, 1754 or 1755 in Cumberland County Virginia and was living in that county at the beginning of the Revolutionarywnar. While living in SURRYCOUNTYNORTHCAROLINA, he enlisted in the Spring of 1780 and served 3 months as private in Capt Jacdnb Camplin's N C company. Four days after discharge from this service he enlisted and served 5 months as private in Capt WmBostic's N C company and was in 5 or 4 skirmishes with the Tories; he stated that during this enlistment he was with Genl Marion, a British officer, as he was told, same into campbut for what he does not know, he was roasting and baking sweet potatoes on the coles. Genl. Marion stepped up with the British officers and remarked he believed he would take breakfast, he felt proud of the request, pulled out his potatoes, wiped the ashes off with a dirty handkerehiof, placed them on a pine log (which was all the provision they had) and General Marion and u the Briths officer partook of them. Fromsometime shortly after the battle of Guilford, he served as minutemanuntil the close of the Revolution, amounting to about 2 years ef actuals ervice, duringwhich time he was a private in Capt Jacob Camplin's N C com»any. After the Revolution he moved to WASHINGTONCOUNTYTENN. and served under Capt John Woodand Col Sevier in an expedi­ tion against the CherokeeIndians. He stated he also lived in South Carolina after the Revolution. Samuel Weaver died Nov 14, 1842 in laurel County Ky. He married October 7 1785 to MARY______? The following statement was made in regard to said marriage; "Samuel and Mary Weaver was married 1783. October 7th day. The widow Mary Weaver, was allowed pension on her application executed Oct 26 1845, while living in Laurel Co Kentucky. In 1844 it was stated that she was about 82. Joseph Weaver, the youngest of their eleven children was born Nov 24, 1808. The only other child's name that was given was HEZEKIAHWEAVER,who was born December 8 1784. Joseph Weaver made affidavit in Laurel Co KYand W33389 54 in 1845, when he made statement. VIRGINIA SERVICE OF WILLIAM WEAVER S l777O PAGE 107--­ DECLARATIONwasmade in 1852 August 2 in hadriver township, ChampaigoCounty Ohio, states that about 1792 he moved to Mason County Kentucky and 1802 moved to said Ohio county of Champaign. It m appears from the file that William Weaverwas b born December24 1759 about five miles from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While a resident of Berkeley County Vir inia he enlisted August 1781 —served as a private in Capt Linder's Virginia company, was at the Siege of Yorktown, and was one of the guard which conducted the prisoners to Harper's Ferry, after which he returned home and in about one month enlisted as a private in Capt Stephens’ Virginia company and served until March 1782 when he was discharged, having served in all nearly seven months.
