8th Grade Social Studies – Studies

During this time, we would like students to review over the material we have covered so far this year in Social Studies. This includes Georgia’s geography, our history units, as well as state & local government.

Students should prioritize material they feel they need the most review on or did not score as highly on that particular unit assessment. Students should use the chapter quizzes to test their knowledge and review over the terms provided with each unit. Students can review using flash cards or creating matching for more in depth terms (i.e. Georgia’s Geographic Regions, Prehistoric Indian Groups, groups that settled in Georgia during the Colonial era, etc.).

Students may also review using the Georgia Race Through Time, which reviews the material in a more game like format. In addition to the online textbook, information can also be found using the New Georgia Encyclopedia website. If you have any questions: Mr. Smith: [email protected] Mr. Pinckley: [email protected] Ms. Nick: [email protected] OR class edmodo - pxykwt
