The easiest way to come on Zoom by computer is to have an invitation email with a link. You will need to send your email address to me or Susan, so we can send out an invitation with a link to our meeting on zoom. For all who have received this notice by email, we have it. If you notice someone missing from the email addresses in your email or want to invite someone you know, either forward this to them so they can join us in worship or send an email to Susan Roberts or Pastor Hank so we can include them in our ongoing email invitations if they desire.

We are privileged and commanded by God and for our own good to worship Him. Worship is the highest art form and good work that humans can do before God. It brings us into God’s presence to confess sins and receive forgiveness as well as all His blessings for life now and in eternity maintaining eternal fellowship with God. Worship is not an entertainment activity, one where we sit back and watch, but it requires your active participation.

Because of the second to second and a half lag-time between you and the source of the music or leading voice, unison participation requires us to mute our mic or cover the mouth piece as a congregation. One lead voice will be heard responding with which you are also to speak and sing out loud with as you can really participate. Our joyful noise is certainly heard by our Lord, but it is distracting to our worship concentration when we all join in as reoccurring echo that is all out of phase. Remember, worship is not worship unless you are involved in the worship acts, so don’t just watch, -- join in, listen and participate, and do not add to the noise but make it joyful in your and God’s presence.

You will have opportunity to speak to and greet each other both before and after worship. The actual worship will start at 10 AM, but we will establish our meeting for you to connect as early as 9:45 AM. You will be connected to the waiting room and brought in by the host or co-host ASAP. Your wait time will be very short. Please join us; this will end up a good worship experience for you and without you we will be missing you.

In these times of isolation and danger we give thanks to our God who tells us, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” We may not be able to understand the why, but we know that God is in our midst working to sustain us and turn this evil to our good. His Word is never broken; His promises are sure! His love for us assures us of victory over all that which would destroy body and soul. We are with Him, and He continues to gift us with life, body, soul, family, friends, and our church family. We have much to be thankful for. Because of the resurrection of our Lord, we need never fear our future. We can do all things through Him who strengthens and loves us. We have Joy and Peace in Jesus Christ!

Sermon: “Getting Real About Life”

APOSTLES’ CREED P: Let us now confess our faith in the words of the Apostles’ Creed. C: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. 3. Thurday December 24th we will have a Christmas Eve Caroling Service with Bells Choir accompaniment. This begins at 7 p.m. This is a service of joy as we celebrate the birthday of Jesus our Lord. A communion service will follow after the closing of this service for those desiring the Lord’s Body and Blood and present at the church. Need to make an appointment. We will be limited to 10 people and we will social distance with a 10ft. diameter radius around family groups. Please email or call for your place, i.e. rsvp. 385-234-1931 call or text also by email [email protected]. Please come to the front door of the church when attending in person.

4. Christmas Day Worship will be at 10 A.M. For those desiring communion please make a reservation with me for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. We will be limited to 10 again present at the church for this special service. Social Distancing and personal care and safety will be implemented. Temperature will be taken at the door and seating will be spread out. Maintain a distance of 10 feet between family groups.

5. Friday January 1, 2021, New Year’s Day Worship will be held on Zoom at 10 AM. This also is a possible communion service for those who attend St. John’s. Again please announce your intentions and rsvp as in # 3 above. Please come to the front door of the church when attending St. John’s in person.

6. We will still be in basic lockdown for services as per the state mandates. Stay safe, wear your mask for your sake and for the sake of others.
