Scott Parry, Director Myra Huang, Vocal Coach & Pianist Kristen Kemp, Vocal Coach & Pianist Megan P. G. Kolpin, Props Coordinator DIRECTOR’S NOTE In each of our lives—during this last year especially—we may have discovered ourselves in moments of wanting, even needing some sort of human connection, but instead finding separation by any number of barriers. In the arias and scenes that follow, we witness characters in just this kind of moment; searching for meaningful contact yet being somehow barred from achieving it. Through circumstance, distance, convention, misunderstanding, pride, fear, ego, or what have you, we may find ourselves in situations similar to the characters in this program, while looking forward to the days when connection can be more easily achieved and separation the exception to the rule.
