The Québécois embrace winter the way most of us revel in summer, by spending as much time as possible outdoors, regardless of persistent snowfall and, especially, frigid temperatures. Settled within the Laurentian Mountains at the edge of Mont-Tremblant National Park, Mont-Tremblant Resort has celebrated all things winter for 80 years, with no signs of going inside. From a winter via ferrata to village sleigh rides, your roster of outside activities appears infinite. On slope, the second oldest ski resort in North America continues to receive reliable snow – 615cm in 2018-19! There are 755-skiable acres across 101-named runs that also place Tremblant among the elite Eastern North American ski resorts. The Alterra Mountain Company ownership group recently committed US$17 million to on- and off-piste improvements. A new high-speed quad now whisks you away to the popular North Side area. And, because North Americans are nuts for glade/tree skiing, Tremblant added five new glade runs over a 20-hectare area in the advanced Edge area. Alterra also expanded the primary base lodge, Le Grand Manitou, adding 400 more seats and redesigning the food service area. La Fourchette du Daible, the North Side lodge, is also larger and much improved.

DEFINITIONS “Activity” or “Activities” means skiing, snowboarding, ski/ride racing/competition, ski/ride school classes/clinics/lessons, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sno-cat touring, all guided tours of Activities, participation in special events, hiking, uphilling, tubing, tobogganing, and any other use of Resort property or facilities, including, but not limited to, the use of terrain parks and features, mountain coaster, alpine slide, ice skating, zip lines, climbing walls, tubing facility, trampolines, and other amusement events or features, food and beverage and retail locations, rental and use of Equipment, ski/snowboard tuning and repair, base area or village activities, gondolas, chairlifts and other conveyances, buildings and premises, vehicles, sidewalks, stairways, trails, and parking lots. “Agreement” means this “Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Warning, Assumption of Risk, Indemnity, and Consent to Medical Treatment/Transport Agreement.” “Equipment” means all equipment offered for use or rent by the Resort including, but not limited to, skis, snowboards, ski bikes, snowshoes, snowblades, skiboards, boots, poles, bindings, helmets, apparel, goggles, ice skates, tubing tubes or sleds, or exercise equipment or any other snow sliding equipment. “Minor” or “Minor Participant” means the minor(s) participant(s) covered by this Agreement. “Releasors” means all participants signing this Agreement, as well as all participants on behalf of whom any signatory below is signing this Agreement, including without limitation Minor Participants.

In 2005, Québec’s gross domestic product was nearly C$275 billion (US$227 billion or €182 billion). Québec’s per capita GDP ranks 19th in the OECD: it is equivalent to the average of OECD countries.
