Rules • This competition is sanctioned and insured by Freestyle Canada • This competition is being organized by Panorama Mountain Freeride Club & Panorama Mountain Resort • The competition will be held under FIS rules and regulations for Freestyle Skiing. • All competitors must possess a Freestyle Canada Competitor license valid in British Columbia. Athletes require a CanFree 3 license at minimum when entering the Timber Tour event. A CanFree 2 membership is required for the SuperYouth event series. Memberships can be renewed online: hמּps://freestylebc.ski/join/ • Athletes must pre-register for the event online prior to 11:59pm on January 7th, 2018. Space in the event is limited and registration is accepted on a first come first serve basis. • There will be a $35 late fee for athletes who due not register online provided there is space available in the event. • Athlete bibs must be worn during all official training and competition. No exceptions. Schedule THURSDAY, JANUARY 11TH Super Youth Slopestyle Training All Day Super Youth Moguls Training 9am – 11am Timber Tour Slopestyle Training All Day Timber Tour Moguls Training 11am – 1pm Slopestyle courses will be open to the public all day. FRIDAY, JANUARY 12TH Super Youth Moguls Competition 9am Super Youth Slopestyle Training All Day Timber Tour Slopestyle Competition 9am Timber Tour Moguls Training 10am – 12pm SATURDAY, JANUARY 13TH Super Youth Slopestyle Competition 9am Timber Tour Moguls Competition 9am SUNDAY, JANUARY 14TH Super Youth Big Air Competition 9am Timber Tour Dual Moguls Competition 9am Finalized event schedule to be determined at the first team leader’s meeting. Athlete Registration • Register online: hמּps://goo.gl/o6TMr4 • Entrants must complete the on-line entry form with payment no later than 11:59pm January 7th, 2018. • Late entries will be subject to a $35 late registration fee provided there is space available. • The Timber Tour field size will be limited to 100 athletes. • The Super Youth field size will be limited to 100 athletes. • Competitors will be registered on a first come, first served basis. Please register early to avoid disappointment. Entry Fees • Timber Tour • $160 entry fee: Includes all three disciplines and an event hat. • Timber Tour bib: The bib cost is $30. Athletes will be assigned the same bib for all 2018 Timber Tour events. Athletes will keep their bib for the duration of the season. • Entry fees and bib payment will be collected online. • Super Youth • $95 entry fee: Includes all three disciplines and an event hat. • $25 bib deposit: Bib deposit must be paid in cash and will be returned aﬞer the event upon return of the athletes bib. • Entry fees will be collected online with bib deposit collected by cash payment at the competition office. Refund Policy If a competition is cancelled, $30CDN shall be refunded to each athlete registered for that event. An athlete shall receive a maximum refund of $30CDN per competition even if he/she is registered in more than one event that is cancelled. If an event is rescheduled at another venue, $30CDN will be charged to the participating athletes. Injury Refund Policy: A registered athlete who withdraws from an event before the generation of the start list will receive a refund of 50% of their entry fee. Athletes that appear on the official start list for an event will not be given a refund. No refunds will be given without a wriמּen request received no later than 7 days aﬞer the completion of the last event day. Liability and Accident Insurance • All competitors 19 years of age or older will be required to sign a waiver at the time of registration. All competitors under the age of 19 must have a team leader, parent or guardian authorized to sign a waiver. • All athletes, officials and other team members who aמּend and participate in the event shall do so at their own risk. • Volunteers, coaches and officials must be current members of Freestyle Canada: hמּps://freestylebc.ski/join/ Liﬞ Tickets Registered competitors are eligible to purchase discounted liﬞ tickets, which are on sale in the competition office daily. Multiple passes may be purchased. Passes for athletes are priced at 25% off the regular day rate. Registered volunteers will be issued a complimentary liﬞ ticket each day. Coaches will be issued a complementary liﬞ pass on a 1:10 ratio. Any additional liﬞ passes may be purchased with 25% off the regular day rate. Banquet Banquet Date: Saturday, January 13th 2018. Cost: $25 Tickets for the banquet can be purchased at the competition office until noon on Friday, January 12th. Panorama Mountain Resort will be catering for the Banquet. The menu will be posted at registration. Silent Auction: Panorama Mountain freeride Club will be hosting a silent auction during the Banquet. Volunteers As always the success of this event depends on volunteers. If you are able to help out at this competition please email our Volunteer Coordinator Shauna Sillem: [email protected]. Volunteers should sign in daily at registration desk by 7:30am on training and competition days. Courtesy liﬞ tickets and lunches will be provided to volunteers. Thank you for your help! Travel Directions to Panorama: Panorama is situated in BC’s Purcell Mountains, with alpine views to the Rocky Mountains. The nearest major city is Calgary, AB, just a 3½ hour drive away. Access from Calgary is west, via Highway 1 through the Banff and Kootenay National Parks, followed by a turn south on Highway 93 through to Radium and onwards to Invermere, BC. From Invermere, a gentle 20 minute drive rises into the Purcell Mountains and winds towards Panorama Mountain Resort. Air Access The nearest airports are: • Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the most common access point to Panorama. It's 311 km from Panorama through the world famous Banff and Kootenay National Parks. During the winter season we offer airport transfers from YYC. • Canadian Rockies International Airport (YXC) is just 161 km from Panorama. • Spokane International Airport (GEG) is 464 km from Panorama. • Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell, MT is 349 km from Panorama.
