Although being newcomers to the ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo, Russian crew Alexey Lukyanuk/Yaroslav Fedorov dominates WRC3 on the Baltic country’s gravel roads. Based on a ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo, the fully electric ŠKODA RE-X1 Kreisel finishes Rallye Weiz in Austria third overall. Andreas Mikkelsen and co-driver Ola Fløene are back in victory lane. After a string of FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) events with bad luck, the Norwegians sprayed champagne from the podium of Rally Estonia. Driving the ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo of ŠKODA Motorsport supported team Toksport WRT to WRC2 win on the ultra-fast gravel roads of the Baltics, they strengthened their lead in the category overall standings. “I would like to thank Toksport and ŠKODA for the fantastic car they provided to me and I am happy, that I could repay them with the victory the whole team deserves. -

Kajetan Kajetanowicz/Maciej Szczepaniak (POL/POL) won WRC3 in LOTOS Rally Team’s ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo followed by Emil Lindholm/Mikael Korhonen (FIN/FIN) in a similar car from Toksport WRT. The two crews of ŠKODA Motorsport supported team Toksport WRT in WRC2, Marco Bulacia/Marcelo Der Ohannesian (BOL/ARG) and Andreas Mikkelsen/Ola Fløene (NOR/NOR), reached the finish after 20 stages covering 300.32 kilometres in category third and fifth respectively. Haiganuú PREDA-SCHIMEK Musicologist, Vienna Born in 1971, graduate of the University of Music in Bucharest, professor Grigore Constantinescu’s class; after graduation, music editor at the Romanian Broadcasting Society (1993-1995 and July – December 1996), Ph. D. in musicology at the University of Music in Bucharest (2002). Established in Vienna since 1997, where she lives today. Between 1995-1997, she had a doctoral scholarship at Österreichischer Akademischer Austauschdienst (ÖAAD) and between 1999-2002 she was a scientific collaborator of the University of La Rioja (Logroño, Spain). As a researcher attached to the Institute of Theory, Analysis and History of Music of the University of Music in Vienna, she conducted research projects under the aegis of the Austrian Scientific Community (2004, 2005-2006, 2011), of the Commune of Vienna (2007) of the Ministry of Science and Research, Austria (2007-2010); in 2008, she was visiting researcher at the Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherches Centre-Européennes (Paris, Université IV, Sorbonne). Participations in international conferences (Romania, Austria, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Serbia), studies published among others in the Musicologica Austriaca (Vienna), Österreichische Musikzeitschrift (Vienna), Musurgia. 2021 MEDIA GUIDE Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 ROUND 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 Arctic Rally Finland February 26 - 28, 2021 HYUNDAI’S HELLO Given the freezing temperatures outside, I would like to extend a warm welcome to Arctic Rally Finland and for the first of what we hope will be two visits by the WRC and Hyundai Motorsport to the country in 2021. Before I underline the team’s hopes and expectations for this event, I wish to acknowledge all the hard work that’s gone into putting on this rally in such a short amount of time. The efforts of AKK Sports and all the volunteers, particularly in the context of COVID-19, has really impressed me so a big thank you to them. It’s fair to say we showed our limits on Rallye Monte-Carlo and found ourselves licking our wounds and trying to get ahead. Unfortunately, it didn’t work there and after making some changes to our approach we start the second round of the season hoping it will be much better than the first. Having wished a fond farewell to Carlos del Barrio after Monte as he prepared for the next chapter of his career, we are pleased to welcome back Craig and Paul for the start of their half-season campaign in a Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. We know very well their ability and determination as they try to make a strong start to their season. As well as our regular World Rally Car drivers, we are giving a big chance to a really promising youngster, Oliver Solberg. -

The various racing categories are moving on a pace and there is plenty to talk about in the world of motorsport medicine and rescue. This issue takes a look at some track safety devices; namely the run-off areas and gravel traps – the pros, the cons and the downright scary. There is a review of recent race events and a few highlights from other aspects of motorsporting news. If you have ever wanted to know what a tank slapper, a lambda reading or reactive suspension was, then skip to the Wikipedia motorsports terminology link. Good luck. Matthew Mac Partlin Technical review Track safety devices – Run-offs and gravel traps Competitors and race vehicles can be fully prepared with safety equipment, but at some point or other a vehicle will unintentionally veer off the track. Sometimes the driver will be able to gather it up and rejoin the race, if there is sufficient space to do so. However, there is often a conflict between race track safety, spectator friendliness and geography. The safest track would probably be a straight road, with a wide run-off to either side and at either end and have no more Copyright Matthew Mac Partlin, 2010 Page 1 of 9 than a couple of cars competing on it at any one time. But it wouldn’t be terribly interesting to compete in or to watch. -

26. - 28. 8. 2011 www.CzechRally.com RALLYRALLY GUIDEGUIDE 1 Vážení přátelé motoristického sportu, Barum Czech Rally Zlín má dlouholetou tradici, v letošním roce se bude konat již po jedenačtyřicáté. Rallysport je v České republice nesmírně populárním sportovním odvětvím, o čemž svědčí velké zástupy nadšených motoristických fandů podél rychlostních zkoušek, kterých se kolem trati jen schází několik desítek tisíc. Automobilová rally, která má centrum v moravském městě Zlíně, je od roku 1983 součástí mistrovství Evropy jezdců a od roku 2007 patří také do prestižního světového seriálu Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) organizovaného s výraznou mediální podporou promotéra šampionátu, satelitní televizní stanice Eurosport. S jejím příchodem soutěž prošla dalším velkým posunem, který je patrný zejména na kvalitě startovního pole. To v minulém roce bylo bez nadsázky nejlepší v celé své historii - ve Zlíně se objevilo celkem 27 vozů progresivně se rozvíjející kategorie Super 2000. Tento počet jinde ve světě doposud nebyl dosud překonán a Zlín se může pyšnit tímto neoficiálním světovým rekordem. Vítězem loňského ročníku se podruhé stal Belgičan Freddy Loix, který se Škodou Fabií S2000 reprezentoval barvy domácí tovární stáje Škoda Motorsport. Dlouholetým partnerem Barum Czech Rally Zlín je tradiční česká pneumatikářská společnost Barum. Propojení nejúspěšnější domácí značky pneumatik s předním českým motoristickým závodem vytváří výhodné podmínky pro pozitivní vnímání jak pneumatik Barum, tak samotné soutěže. Stejně jako v minulosti bude značka Barum hlavním partnerem i při jedenačtyřicátém ročníku zlínské rally. Ta se během let propracovala až na samotný vrchol motoristických akcí v České republice a každoročně je nositelem řady novinek na scénu českého rallysportu. Pravidelné vysoké hodnocení rally z organizačního a především bezpečnostního hlediska přineslo zasloužené ocenění, neboť Světová rally komise při FIA zařadila Barum Czech Rally Zlín opět do seriálu elitních soutěží evropského šampionátu. -

In case yes, to what extent and under what conditions. Three districts in the South-Moravian Region, Znojmo, Bˇreclav, and Hodonín, situated in the rural borderland with Austria and Slovakia represented the study area. Both geographical and sociological methods were used to gather evidence for cultural tourism in that study. Firstly, attractiveness analysis of the area defined for cultural tourism took place. Next, factors influencing the potential for cultural tourism affecting rural development in South Moravia were evaluated. Finally, synergistic relations were discussed. In the territory, many forms of tourism intersect. Based on the results, it can be stated that cultural tourism can hardly be the main driver of rural development after the decline of agriculture because the region’s economy has branched out in several directions. However, it can be an important complementary activity that yields both economic and non-economic benefits. -
