PROTECTING CIVILIANS: MORAL CHALLENGES OF ASYMMETRIC WARFARE Contemporary warfare ​is often conducted ​among dense civilian populations​, sometimes ​with​in a space in which combatants attempt to blend into their ​civilian environment. The lecture will address the normative scope of the obligation to protect civilians who are thrust into​ such a perilous situation.
