MD (Anaesthesiology) (This Shall Be a Recognized Medical Qualification When Granted by Kerala [TO BE PUBLISHED IN PART II, SECTION 3, SUB-SECTION (ii) OF THE GAZETTE OF INDIA] Government of India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare . (Department of Health and Family Welfare) Nirman Bhavan New Delhi Dated the2-4 November, 2017 NOTIFICATION S.0.... In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of the section 11 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Central Government, after consulting the Medical Council of India, hereby makes the following further amendments in the First Schedule to the said Act, namely:- In the said Schedule - I) against "Bharath Institute of .Higher Education & Research, Chennai", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2)], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) "Doctor of Medicine (Radio Diagnosis/ Radiology)" MD (Radio Diagnosis/ Radiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Bharath . Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry on or after 2017). "Master of Surgery (Orthopaedics)" MS (Orthopaedics) (This shall •be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Sri Lakshmi Narayana Institute. of Medical Sciences, Pondicherry on or after 2017). 11) against "The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical College University, Chennai", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- -2- -• .•••••• -(2) (3) "Master of Surgery (General Surgery)" MS (General Surgery) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical College University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Kanyakumari on or after 2017). "Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine)" MD (General Medicine) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical College University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Kanyakumari on or after 2017). "Doctor of Medicine (Radio Diagnosis)" MD (Radio Diagnosis) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical College University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Sree Mookambika Institute of Medical Sciences, Kanyakumari on Or after 2017). "Doctor of Medicine (Microbiology)" MD (Microbiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical College University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Chengalpattu Medical College, Chengalpattu on or after 2016). "Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases)" MD (TB &Respiratory Diseases) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical College University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Tirunelveli Medical College, Tirunelveli on or after 2016). "Doctor of Medicine (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation)" MD (PMR) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical College University, Chennai in respect of students being trained at Madras Medical College, Chennai of Medical Sciences on or after 2017). -3- Ill) against "Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and • entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) "Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases)" MD (TB & CD) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in respect of students being trained at Government Medical College) Mysore on or after 2007). "Diploma in Tuberculosis & Chest Diseases" DTDC (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in respect of students being trained •at Government Medical College, Mysore on or after 2007). "Doctor of Medicine (Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases/ MD (Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases/ Pulmonary Medicine)" Diseases/ Pulmonary Medicine) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) Bangalore in respect of students being trained at SS Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Davangere on or after 2015). IV) against 'West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) "Doctor of Medicine (Microbiology)" MD (Microbiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata in respect of students being trained at Bankura SamMilani Medical College, Bankura on or after 2016). -4- "Doctor of Medicine (Pharmacology)" MD (Pharmacology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata in respect of students being trained at Midnapore Medical College, Midnapore on or after 2016). "Doctor of Medicine (Physiology)" MD (Physiology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata in respect of students being trained at KPC Medical College, Jadavpur, Kolkata on or after 2017). V) against "Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik", under the. heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) "Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine)" MD (General Medicine) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Dr Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati on or after 2015). "Doctor of Medicine (Orthopeadics)" MD (Orthopeadics) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Dr Panjabrao Alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College, Amravati on or after 2015). "Doctor of Medicine (Sports Medicine)" MD (Sports Medicine) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Armed Forces Medical College, Pune on or after 2017. "Doctor of Medicine (Pharmacology)" MD (Pharmacology) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik in respect of students being trained at Dr. Shankarrao Chavan Govt. Medical College, Nanded on or after 2017. against "C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) "Dottor of Medicine (Anaesthesia)" MD (Anaesthesia) (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by. C.S.J.M. University; Kanpur in respect of students being trained at U.P. Rural Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Etawah on or after 2016). against "Santosh University, Ghaziabad", under the heading 'Recognized Medical Qualification' [hereinafter referred to as column (2) ], after the last entry and entry relating thereto under the heading 'Abbreviation for Registration' [hereinafter referred to as column (3)], the following shall be inserted, namely:- (2) (3) "Diploma in Anaesthesia" DA (This shall be a recognized medical qualification when granted by Santosh University, Ghaziabad in respect of students being trained at Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad on or after 2012).     GOVERNMENT OF INDIA LAW COMMISSION OF INDIA Report No.255 Electoral Reforms March 2015 D.O. No.6(3)/240/2013-LC(LS) 12 March, 2015 Dear Shri Sadananda Gowda ji, The Ministry of Law and Justice, in January 2013, requested the Twentieth Law Commission of India to consider the issue of “Electoral Reforms” in its entirety and suggest comprehensive measures for changes in the law. While working on the subject, the Supreme Court of India, in the matter of “Public Interest Foundation & Others V. Union of India & Anr - Writ Petition (Civil) No. 536 of 2011, directed the Law Commission of India to make its suggestions on two specific issues, viz., (i) ‘curbing criminalization of politics and needed law reforms’; and (ii) ‘impact and consequences of candidates filing false affidavits and needed law reforms to check such practice’. In the light of this judgment, the Commission worked specifically on these two areas and, after series of discussions, followed by a National Consultation held on 1st February 2014, submitted its 244th Report titled “Electoral Disqualifications” on 24th February 2014 to the Government of India. After the submission of Report No.244, the Commission circulated another questionnaire to all registered national and State political parties seeking their views on ten points, the response received was not very encouraging, though. However, the Commission undertook an extensive study to suggest electoral reforms, held various rounds of discussions with the stakeholders and analysed in-depth the issues involved. After detailed deliberations, the Commission has now come up with its recommendations which are put in the form its final Report, Report No.255, titled “Electoral Reforms”, which is sent herewith for consideration by the Government.

    Elite Politics and Maharashtra’s Employment Guarantee Scheme Maharashtra’s Employment Guarantee Scheme has been a subject of much research. Unfortunately, much of the deliberations and contestations for and against the introduction of this scheme remained untouched. This paper attempts to examine how at disparate time frames and contexts the elite managed to maintain their support base and reinforce its legitimacy by supporting a poverty alleviation programme – the EGS. VISHAL JADHAV n this paper I examine the politics of the Maratha elite in do play a crucial and critical role in organising the class-caste initiation and institutionalisation of Employment Guarantee ideology and meditate between caste and class interests.
