Proposed parking restrictions Main Street: Jackie Suthernwood had attended the meeting to speak regarding the proposed parking restrictions. Mrs Suthernwood was not happy with some of the restrictions proposed and would be putting in comments if and when it goes to consultation. Mrs Suthernwood commented that it is useful to have vehicles parking on Main Street as it acts as a traffic calming measure which would stop if they were no longer allowed to park. Heavy vehicles are causing houses to shake. Cllr Evison commented on the fact that although there are double yellow lines outside of the shops at present, delivery vehicles are allowed to park outside of the shops to deliver and also other vehicles can for a very limited period. The proposed restrictions would have no waiting and no loading restrictions at any time and delivery vehicles would then have to park at the side when making deliveries. If the restrictions are approved then there would be a period of embedding then after 1-month motorists would be ticketed if parking in no waiting areas. Allotments: An allotment holder attended to discuss various matters regarding the allotments. A letter had been sent to all of the allotment holders at the request of one of the allotment holders regarding the weeds growing in some of the plots.

Owen, Cllr, Evison The proprietors of Costcutter and Munro’s Newsagents attended the meeting as they had received a letter from the Chair regarding the proposed parking restrictions for the village. Letters are also going to be sent to all of the other businesses in the village. The Chair apologised that at this moment only letters had been sent to Costcutter and Munro’s. Costcutter deliveries are made to round the back of the premises early in the morning and the newsagent has deliveries to the front of the shop between 6.30am- 7.00 am and therefore do not affect the bus service at that time in the morning. However, if they were stopped from having the delivery to the front of the shop on Main street and had to have the delivery to round the back of the premises then they could not guarantee that this wouldn't coincide with the delivery to Costcutter. This would then cause problems for vehicles entering and exiting Frodingham Road onto Main Street. They also feel that if the parish council stop people from parking for 5 minutes outside of the shops then the parish council will drive away trade. It was explained to them that this is the last thing that we want but that the problem with parking is not new and that we are trying to find a solution that will please as many as possible.

    East Riding of Yorkshire Council Infrastructure Delivery Plan March 2015 Infrastructure Delivery Plan East Riding Infrastructure Delivery Plan 1.1 This Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP) sets out what infrastructure is likely to be needed to support the amount and distribution of housing and economic development set out within the East Riding Local Plan. It draws on information from the East Riding Infrastructure Study and identifies the main partners that will have a role in helping to deliver the Local Plan. The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is likely to be an important way of funding infrastructure, where existing funding sources are insufficient. The delivery timescales set out in the IDP are indicative and based on development occurring at a linear rate each year. However, the baseline (existing) capacity of infrastructure can also change over time, which may result in changes to timescales over which new investment would be required 1.2 The infrastructure set out within the IDP has been broken down to highlight those elements considered to be essential in delivering the scale and location of development promoted within the Local Plan. Essential infrastructure is that which definitely needs to be provided prior to particular developments taking place. Whilst a need exists for other infrastructure, and has been set out within the Delivery Plan, it may still be possible for development to go ahead prior to this infrastructure being in place.
