Assist in developing a ‘simple’ ward plan (see sample) i. Get the ward council to approve ii. Distribute to every ward member or family b. Relief Society counselor over temple and family history work iii. Member of the young women class presidency – oldest young women iv. An assistant in the priest quorum v. Ward Temple and Family History Plan Remembering that this is a spiritual work, the ___________ Ward will minister to all who desire to follow Jesus Christ, helping adults and youth to do so through temple and family history work. As President Russell M Nelson taught in April 2020: “I promise that as you increase your time in temple and family history work, you will increase and improve your ability to hear Him.” 1. Minister to all adults and youth helping them to hold and use a current temple recommend. Increase the number of current recommend holders by X (number or percentage) 2. Help X (number) adults and youth each month, to feel the spiritual nature of family history through ‘personal’ experiences as they learn how to use FamilySearch.org. 3. Increase the number of adults and youth using FamilySearch.org by X% year-over-year. 4. Increase the number of adults and youth adding a new name to their FamilySearch Tree by X% year-over-year. 5. Increase the number of adults and youth adding a new memory to their FamilySearch Tree by X% year-over-year. SAMPLE ONLY CONSIDERATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS: 1. Keep the plan short and simple – make it for 12 months 2. Present to ward council for their 100% approval and support 3. Give every family in the ward a copy of the plan – asking them to consider how they can personally contribute to accomplishing the plan. 4. Monitor plan progress through regular (at least month) temple and family history coordination meetings and in ward council meetings 5. Track measurable data in the reports on Leader and Clerk Resources app. a. Quarterly reports b.
