Richlands benefits from a number of community parks and sporting facilities which cater to a variety of recreational pursuits.

Oxley Creek runs alongside Richlands providing a large natural, green break along the suburb’s eastern boundary. The Oxley Creek corridor is currently undergoing a $100 million transformation to improve its accessibility and preserve its environmental significance.
