Parkir adalah keadaan tidak bergerak suatu kendaraan dalam jangka waktu tertentu yang lama maupun sebentar tergantung pada kepentingan pengemudinya. Parkiran merupakan masalah yang ditemukan di kota besar maupun kota yang sedang berkembang seperti kota Banda Aceh yang saat ini sedang berkembang pesat dan maju. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari banyaknya perkembangan dan pembangunan infastruktur yang sedang berjalan. Masalah parkir kendaraan pada umumnya mempunyai hubungan erat dengan kebutuhan ruang. Dampak dari adanya pembangunan fasilitas-fasilitas tersebut adalah perlunya sarana parkir dan jalan yang memadai. Dengan mengembangkan ajaran Islam melalui pendekatan budaya, menjadikan Islam mudah diterima oleh masyarakat. Proses islamisasi yang dilakukan Sunan Kalijaga dalam menyebarkan agama Islam dalam kondisi masyarakat pada masa itu masih kental dengan kepercayaan lama (Animisme, Dinamisme, Hindu dan Budha). Proses islamisasi yang dilakukan Sunan Kalijaga dalam menyebarkan agama Islam di pulau Jawa tidaklah mudah, karena kondisi masyarakat pada waktu itu masih kental dengan kepercayaan agama lama (Animime, Dinamisme, Hindu dan Budha). Akan tetapi dengan kepiawaian Sunan Kalijaga, sikap masayarakat terhadap dakwahnya sangat baik dan sedikit demi sedikit mau menerima ajaran agama Islam, karena ia dalam menyebarkan agama Islam benar- benar memahami keadaan rakyat pada saat itu. Sunan Kalijaga menyadari begitu kuatnya pengaruh Hindu-Budha pada saat itu, maka ia tidak melakukan dakwah secara frontal, melainkan toleran dengan budaya-budaya lokal. Menurutnya, masyarakat akan menjauh kalau diserang pendiriannya. Dengan pola mengikuti sambil mempengaruhi, dia mampu mendekati masyarakat secara bertahap. Prinsipnya, kalau ajaran Islam sudah dipahami, dengan sendirinya kebiasaan lama akan hilang. Ia memaduhkan unsur kebudayaan lama (Seni ukir, Suara, Gamelan, dan Wayang). -

Tanjung Pura, formerly was the capital of Malay Sultanate of Langkat, had various cultural heritages of Malay Sultanate and Dutch colonial. The diversity of cultural heritage objects in Tanjung Pura such as the historical buildings possess great potential as tourism assets in Tanjung Pura. Therefore, the conservation efforts are very much needed to avoid the old town Tanjung Pura from becoming only as a history. The special target of this research is the conservation of the region in Tanjung Pura as an architectural and cultural tourism asset. The results of the research are the design concept, conservation concept, design of the area, and documentation (such as photos and pictures of the historical buildings) using a design program. The result of the measurements and sketches in the area obtained using the design program, analysis and design concepts for the area will be used as a tourist object attraction. INTRODUCTION Issues about the conservation of historical areas, especially in the old town have been done by many countries in this world such as Japan, Netherland, Singapore, and others. For example, in the beginning, Singapore had replaced buildings and historical areas with new appearance of modernization. However, the small number of tourists that come to Singapore made the government return back the historical city’s look such as Kampung Melayu, Little India, and China Town. -

Sejarah berdirinya Masjid Agung Baiturrahman tidak bisa dilepaskan dari sejarah berdirinya Banyuwangi, karena keduanya memiliki ikatan yang sangat kuat, sama-sama didirikan oleh Bupati Blambangan terakhir sekaligus Bupati Banyuwangi pertama Mas Alit. Nama Mas Alit yakni Bupati pertama adalah Wiraguna I yang berkuasa pada tahun 1773-1783. Penelitian sejarah ini bertujuan: 1) untuk mengetahui sejarah awal pembangunan Masjid Agung Baiturahman. 2) Untuk mengetahui dinamika perkembangan pembangunan Masjid Agung Baiturahman Tahun 1773 - 2007. Jenis penelitian ini adalah historis atau metode sejarah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan 25 Juli sampai 21 Agustus 2018 di Masjid Agung Baiturahman Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan Observasi, Wawancara, Studi Dokumen. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Masjid Agung Baiturrahman Masjid yang sebelumnya bernama Masjid Jami‟ yang didirikan oleh Mas Alit, Tergolong masjid tertua di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Latar belakang berdiri dan berkembangnya Masjid Agung Baiturrahman Banyuwangi dimulai sejak 7 Desember 1773, hal ini berdasarkan data pada surat wakaf yang berupa denah gambar arsitektur masjid dari keluarga besar Mas Alit atau Raden Tumenggung Wiraguna I, bupati pertama Banyuwangi untuk umat Islam Banyuwangi. sampai kini telah mengalami beberapa kali renovasi (pembangunan); pertama: 1844, kedua: 1971, ketiga: 1990, dan keempat: 2005. -

ISLAMIC EDUCATION AND LINGUISTIC ISSUES: INDONESIAN EXPERIENCE Anis Malik Thoha Susiyanto [email protected] ABSTRACT Some languages have played an important role as the medium for the revelation of God to mankind. The existence of such language is to bridge the communication of the Prophet who was sent to his people. Thus, the existence of language as a medium of communication in propaganda is desperately needed between mad’u (object of da'wah) and preachers (actor of da'wah). It is understood that a language other than Arabic, serves as an introduction to preaching to the local non-Arab community. The local non-Arabic language as the language of propaganda has not been used as the way it was. There is a process to be followed, namely what is called by S.M.N. Al-Attas as the concept of Islamisation of Language. Linguistic aspects and translation of Islamic values by using the local language of instruction at least prove that Islam is not synonymous with Arab, although the Arabic is used as the language of science. Even here it appears that Islam tends to appreciate the various expressions of culture, including the linguistic aspects. Local and regional languages, when Islam has been embedded in the hearts of non-Arab nations, have not necessarily been lost and destroyed. On the contrary, these languages have increased in terms of the aspects of ethics, morality, and enrichment of terminological. In this very section, the Islamic education plays an important role in the development of linguistics and literacy, both in terms of the scientific language and medium of introduction for propaganda. -

Tulisan ini menggunakan data kualitatif untuk analisis bahan yang dikumpulkan dari pengamatan dan penelitian kepustakaan. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa struktur dan pola kepemimpinan kyai dalam pesantren yang masih kuat di mana kyai diposisikan sebagai tokoh utama. Hal ini dapat dilihat pada bagaimana seorang kyai membangun peran strategis sebagai pemimpin non- formal dalam masyarakat melalui komunikasi yang intensif dengan masyarakat. Karisma kyai juga memperoleh dukungan rakyat karena stabilitas moral dan kualitas keimanan. Proses ini pada awalnya dimulai dari kelompok terdekat sekitar pesantren dan kemudian menyebar secara luas. Kata Kunci: Pemimpin Agama, Kepemimpinan Karismatik, Karisma, Peran kyai, Pesantren. ABSTRACT This paper discusses on the role of the kyai in pesantren in Java. It addresses on the roles of religious leader in pesantren. It applies Max Weber’s concept on religious leadership and charisma. It uses qualitative data for analysis of materials collected from observations and library research. This research Ànds that the structures and patterns of leadership and power of Kyai within pesantren are strong in which kyai is positioned as the main Àgure. -

It has tremendous impact on the implementation of models of Islamic studies. At early stage of development, Islamic higher education in this country tends to follow a norma- tive-idealistic approach of Islamic studies due to the huge influences of many Middle Eastern graduates. However, changes of Islamic studies approach come to exist when the Western graduates bring non- scriptualistic methodologies and multidisciplinary approach in Islamic studies. If compared to Malaysia, the two poles of Eastern or Western and Islamic or non-Islamic higher education types have been inte- grated with the paradigm of Islamization of knowledge. Recent development indicates that Malaysian and Indonesian universities have intensified their mutual cooperation through U to U or G to G Memorandum of Understanding. There are several ways of encounters, namely teacher (or lecturer) and student ex- changes, literature line, bilateral cooperation, and informal factors. With the closer link between the two people of these countries, the bonds between Islamic studies connecting the two countries have become closer. -

Marsda Adisucipto Yogyakarta 55281 e-mail : [email protected] Abstrak : Penelitian ini membahas tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam ranah komunikasi Islam pada Film Surau dan Silek. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis semiotika Ferdinan de Saussure. Dalam metodenya ia mengembangkan dua sistem yaitu penanda, pertanda serta makna yang terkandung dan yang ingin disampaikan di dalamnya. Film ini merupakan film budaya berbahasa Minangkabau yang mengandung tutur nasihat. Film ini bercerita tentang kehidupan tiga remaja Minang yang sedang semangat berlatih silat, namun mereka ditinggalkan oleh Mak Rustam sang guru silat yang memutuskan untuk pergi merantau. Penelitian ini menemukan terdapat representasi pendidikan karakter dalam film surau dan silek, yaitu silek mengajarkan kesimbangan antara emosional question (kecerdasan emosional), spiritual question (kecerdasan spritual), intelegens question (kecerdasan intelejen) dan heart question (kecerdasan hati). Film Surau dan Silek mengandung banyak pesan moral, nilai-nilai agama dan budaya, sehingga mampu merubah persepsi tentang silat di Minang yang tak hanya sebagai aktifitas pemuda nagari untuk berkelahi, namun juga sebagai pendidikan karakter dari perspektif Islam dan adat Minang, yaitu mengamalkan agama Islam sebagai ajaran, dan melestarikan budaya surau dan silat sebagai aktifitas pemuda Minang. Abstract : This study discusses the value of character education values in the realm of Islamic communication studies in Surau and Silek films. This type of research is descriptive qualitative using the semiotic analysis method of Ferdinand de Saussure. In his method, he developed two systems, namely the signifier, the sign and the meaning that is contained and what is intended to be conveyed in it. -

ISLAMIC EDUCATION AND DA’WAH LIBERALIZATION: Investigating Kiai Achmad Dachlan’s Ideas Abdul Munir Mulkhan State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Indonesia Abstract This article discusses two opposing views in regard to Islamic teaching; whether it should be seen as a static entity or as a dynamic one and each option has its own implication. Being seen as a static entity, Islamic teachings cannot be put on the table of criticism, because it is supposed to be perfect, correct, and its validity goes beyond time and space. In this position, Islamic teaching that is taught in Islamic education institutions is delivered in non- dialogical way, assuming that it is doctrine, not knowledge. The author argues that such view would possibly make Islamic teachings become “normal science” that loose their relevances to contemporary human life. In fact, what is considered as Islamic teachings cannot be separated from human intervention since parts of them are formulated by classical Muslim scholars. For this reason, it is necessary to liberate Islamic teachings from narrow-minded perspective and interpretation, as suggested by the proponents of Liberal Islam. Islam should be interpreted in open-mind perspective so that it is possible to bear many different interpretations based on interpreters’ social and academic backgrounds. Achmad Dachlan is one of Muslim scholars who tried to take the essence of Islamic teachings. He argued that one of the main purposes and substantial point of Islamic teachings are the ethical kindness and human happiness. Dachlan’s concern with the marginalized and disfranchised people is based on his view on human ethics and it serves as the foundation of a movement to empower marginalized people. -

As a reference, the architectural element characteristic of Wali mosque (local mosque) needs to be known, so that this paper aims to find a description of a local mosque (Wali mosque), and also description of architectural elements of non- local mosques (mosques with foreign cultural context) because one of the causes of changes in mosque architecture is cultural factors. The findings of this paper are expected to be input for further studies on the details of physical changes in the architectural elements of mosques in Indonesia. The study subjects taken were 6 Wali mosques that were widely known by the Indonesian Muslim community as Wali mosques and 6 non-local mosques that were very well known and frequently visited by Indonesian Muslim communities. Data obtained from literature studies, interviews and observations. The analysis is done by sketching from visual data, critiquing data, making interpretations, making comparisons and compiling the chronology of the findings. -

CHAPTER III SUNAN MURIA AND RELATIONSHIP BEFORE MARRIAGE A. SUNAN MURIA 1. Sunan Muria’s Lineage According to folklore, and the prevailing view in the literature of Java, Islam came and spread in Java is thanks to nine islamic spreaders who are members of a council called Walisongo.1 One of Walisongo is Sunan Muria. Sunan Muria’s personal name is Raden Prawoto some say, others say he is Raden Umar Said. He called Sunan Muria because it relates to the name of the mountain where he was buried mount muria, because Sunan Muria was classified as members of Walisongo who younger generation than Sunan Kalijaga and Sunan Kudus, insufficient life story written in full by the author except in the story said historiography with a number of differences, including regarding the pedigree of which actually originated Sunan Muria.2 According to the first version, as written Solihin Salam in Sekitar Wâlî Sanga (1974) and AM Noertjahjo in Cerita Sekitar Wali Sanga (1974), Sunan Muria is mentioned as the eldest son of Sunan Kalijaga from his marriage with Dewi Sarah Maulana Ishaq’s daughter. Sunan Muria was born with the name Raden Umar Said.He has two younger sisters, they are Dewi Rukayah and Dewi Sofiyah. When an adult, Raden Umar Said married with Dewi Sujinah, Ja'far Sadiq’s younger sister, or Sunan Kudus, Raden Usman Haji’s son or Sunan Ngudung.3 Meanwhile, according to the second version that is based on the manuscript of Pustoko Agung compiled and summarized by R.
