AGENCY RFP CONTACT INFORMATION All communications regarding this RFP from this time and date until the contract has been awarded, must be coordinated through: Ashia Brown, Procurement Specialist BakerRipley 3838 Aberdeen Way Houston, TX 77025 Phone: (713) 558-6374 [email protected] Page 5 of 39 18-06 Janitorial Services Issue date 3.6.2018 THE OPPORTUNITY BakerRipley (Agency) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Janitorial Services for our various locations throughout greater Houston Metropolitan Area. We are also seeking comprehensive proposals for our East Aldine Community Center this is the only location that could potentially receive a single location award. 3. SCOPE OF SERVICES Contractor will provide the following services: 1. Staff Contractor will provide adequate managerial, administrative, and direct labor staffing required for the Services. Disorderly conduct, use of abusive of offensive language, quarreling and intimidation by words, actions, or fighting will not be tolerated. If Contractor uses subcontracted companies and/or workers other than employees that are on its payroll, Contractor must provide detailed information such as company name and what role that company will be assisting with. Agency reserves all rights when allowing other companies to assist the Contractor with janitorial needs. 2. Training Contractor will ensure its staff is trained in janitorial methods and techniques, in event set-up and closing, and in Agency’s expectations to satisfactorily maintain office and child care facilities on a day-to-day basis as scheduled on Attachments E and F. 3. Staff Recruitment and Qualifications Contractor must demonstrate the ability to provide trustworthy, reliable staff members and will make a good faith effort to retain the same staff members on the same schedule in the same area for as long as possible. If a change in staff is to occur, Contractor will notify Agency via email prior (no less than one calendar day unless it is an emergency) to the change when possible or as quickly as possible thereafter. In addition, staff member will: a) Read, write, speak and comprehend the English language. b) Have the necessary public relations skills to interact with Agency’s employees, clients, and visitors in a professional, courteous, and businesslike manner. c) Understand written and verbal rules and regulations and apply them in a tactful and non-confrontational manner. d) Maintain poise, self-control, tact, diplomacy and mature judgment under stress. Contractor will ensure that its employees have undergone and cleared criminal and other background screenings by the following entities listed below. A copy of this background check must be provided to Agency before each employee can begin work on Agency property. Uniform and Appearance Standards Contractor’s staff members will be neat and clean in appearance and wear a company uniform. The uniform shirt must have the company’s name. The pants cannot be denim, and must be maintained in a respectable manner without holes. Each employee must wear an Agency-approved badge that clearly identifies them as staff members of Contractor at all times while at Agency facilities. 5. Security Keys and alarm codes to the facilities, per location, will be made available to the Contractor. It is Contractor’s responsibility to ensure the safety of the keys and to ensure that its employees have the access necessary to perform their jobs during times when Agency facilities are not open. All costs accrued by Agency in reinstating facility security occasioned by loss of facility keys due to Contractor’s staff member’s negligence will be billed to Contractor.
