This significant decrease in class size was ulti- mately affected by the univer- sity’s decision to accept fewer students. Factors such as previ- ous incoming class sizes and strained on-campus housing greatly influenced the deci- sion to accept fewer students, according to Lindsey Steller, the assistant director of ad- missions. Steller clarified that ac- cepting fewer students was intentional, “just to make sure that we can still give students the best experience,” she said. “We recognized that last year housing was a little bit tight- er, and things here (at the Ad- missions Office) were a little 3KRWRFRXUWHV\RI[DYLHUHGX bit tighter.” “We just wanted Members of the class of 2023 showed off their pride at committing to Xavier in this collage shared on Xavier’s website.
