Th e Parlour pellet stove is equ ipp ed with a block ed flue/h igh temp safet y sen sor that will shut the sto ve off if the re is a down draft, block ed flue, or high temperature condition.

If you install the sto ve on the si de of the hou se that is hit by prevaili ng wind s (usually 30 to 40 mph or greate r) the re is a chance th at the sen sor will be activa ted and the sto ve will shu t off . Comb ustion air adjust ment

Combu stion air can be adjusted by r otating the air s hutter to close / open the air duct. Air adjustmen t is cri tical for proper combustion and stove eff iciency .

Adjust the shutter so the flame is brig ht yellow in a ppe arance and is actively movi ng (n ot la zy) . Dark flam es, sm oke or bla ck tips on th e fla me is an ind ication of too litt le air.

If the flue config uration is tall, over 15 fe et, th e shu tte r should be closed more th an a sho rte r vent si nce the hig he r flue will naturally dra ft th e sto ve and increase the int ake air velocity and v olume. Th is can cause th e pell ets to be blown out of the fir epot and the eff icien cy of the sto ve will decrease due to the heat going up the flue inste ad of through the heat exc hanger.
