Busses make numerous stops before reaching Piazzale Roma. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. The buses leave from a stop conveniently located in front of the arrivals area. The ACTV buses are orange. One- way ticket costs 2.50 €. ACTV website: http://www.actv.it/english/home.php Bus ATVO: A direct connection from the airport to Piazzale Roma that takes about 20 minutes; buses leave every half hour. Buses run from 8.50 (8.30 on Sundays and public holidays) to 23.40. The single ticket costs 3.00 € including luggage. The buses leave outside the arrivals area on the right. The ATVO buses are blue. The main train station (Venezia Santa Lucia) is located next to the Grand Canal in the northwest corner of the city. Some trains stop at Venezia- Mestre on the mainland. To get from Venezia- Mestre to Santa Lucia, or vice versa (a 10-minute trip) you can take any train. How to reach Venice by car Follow the sign to Venice. Once you arrive in Mestre, drive to the Ponte della Libertà – a long straight road in the Lagoon, linking Venice to the mainland. In Venice you will arrive at Piazzale Roma. Here you have to leave your car and proceed by feet or boat. There are three parking areas at Piazzale Roma: the Autorimessa Comunale, the Garage S. The road to the venue is indicated on the map below. The closest vaporetto stop is San Tomà. When got off the vaporetto boat, go straight till the end of Calle del Traghetto Vecchio (1). Turn left (following indications for Accademia- Ca' Rezzonico) into Calle del Campaniel (2), and then turn right into Fondamenta del Forner (3), following it until the bridge Ponte 4 2 Lines 1 or 2 5 1 della Donna Onesta. Pass on the bridge (4) 3 SAN TOMA’ and go straight into Calle della donna Onesta. 6 At the end of this little street, at the crossing of Crosera S. Pantalon and Calle Larga CA’ FOSCARI University Foscari, take Calla Larga Foscari (5), pass on the bridge, and soon after the bridge on the left there is the Entrance of Ca’ Foscari University (6). It seems like a long road but actually it takes only 3 minutes. Santa Lucia train station → Ca' Foscari University (main building) The Ca' Foscari University main building is at about 15 minutes walking distance from the Santa Lucia train station. The road to the venue is shown on the map below.
