INFORMATION LETTER

Dear colleagues! The Center for Legal Support of and Asian-Pacific Region’s Countries Cooperation of Buryat State University invites you to participate from June 28th to 1 July 1st, 2018 in VII International scientific-practical conference “State and legal systems of Asian-Pacific region countries: setting the polycentric world order and the potential of international and comparative law”

The purpose of the conference is to strengthen international legal cooperation between the states, scientific communities and the youth of Asian-Pacific region countries and Russia.

Objectives: - setting, developing and widening of scientific interaction with universities, scientific research institutions, comparative law centers from other countries, information exchange, popularization of research results and works in certain areas of science and between them including to form new interdisciplinary projects; - increasing the level of information exchange between scientific, educational and business communities; - encouraging cooperation between Russia and Asian-Pacific region countries and other countries in the field of legal science and practice.

Basic directions of the conference: • From West-centered to polycentric world order and world outlook in the XXI century; • Countermeasures against anthropogenic, biogenous, social-cultural threats, terrorism and ideological extremism, as well as cyber threats and other threats for society, economy and state; • Eurasian conception (Russian view): historical roots and modern age; • Eurasianism as contemporary principle of Russian foreign policy, determining basic directions of its policy in Asian direction; • Eurasian Economic Union: stages of formation and future development; • Transformation of political and legal institutions of EEU countries in the context of Asian vector actuation in foreign policy; • International law in Asian prospect; • Constitutional and legal institutions: global scale and local variations; • International private law and civil legislature in EEU and Asian-Pacific region countries; • Civil issues of comparative law in Asian-Pacific countries; • Legal issues in energy area in Russia and EEU and Asian-Pacific region countries; • Issues of legal support for intellectual, transport and telecommunication institutions, international transport –logistic systems and use of outer and air space, the Arctic Region and the Antarctic; • Criminal mechanisms for social relations regulations in EEU and Asian-Pacific region countries. The list of the directions given may be enlarged within a framework of the conference general theme.

As part of conference on June 29th, 2018 it is planned to organize round-table discussions on contemporary issues of state and law with participation of scientific community representatives, legal practitioners, experts, governmental authorities and local government. In order to develop scientific communication and young researches competencies it is expected to conduct annual International youth scientific research conference “Comparative law in the states of Asian and Pacific Region–IX”, which will be held on June 28th, 2018 (please, refer to another information letter), as well as round-table discussions and workshops for young lawyers under Summer School of Comparativistics on with participation of Russian and foreign scientists (June 30th – July 1st, 2018). More detailed information will be sent by request of potential participants. Following the conference it is planned to publish material in one of peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements for the publication: 1. The article is submitted in electronic form in Russian or in the native language (in the latter case it should be translated into English, in this respect it is possible to publish the article in two languages) in a separate file: the author's name and the first three words of the title should be indicated in the file of the article title (in Russian or English). 2. The title of the article is centered, semi bold and in capital letters. 3. UDC (Universal Decimal Classification) and LBC (Library-Bibliographical Classification) are indicated above the title of the article in the upper left corner. 4. Information about the author (authors) is written under the name of the article in bold letters in lower case letters, in align text right (full last name, full first name, patronymic name, academic degree, academic title, position, place of work (if any), contact information (postal address, e-mail), the title of the article (in Russian and English), and e- mail of the author). 5. Abstract (100-150 lines) (in Russian and English), which characterizes the problem of the material in Russian and English. The abstract should reflect the main content of the article and follow the logic of describing the results in the research. The abstract should include the following content blocks: the subject, the purpose of the work; the method or methodology of the work; the results of the work; the field of application of the results; the conclusions. 6. Keywords (4-6 words) (in Russian and English). 7. The article should not be more than 8 pages. 8. The text of the article is edited in “Microsoft Word”, font Times New Roman size 14, line spacing - 1.5. The position of the text (paragraphs) is justified (justify). Margins to the right - 3 cm, margins (top, bottom, left) - 2 cm. Indentation - 1.25. 9. The numbering of pages is continuous, starting with the first page. The footnotes are completed in []. For example: [1, c. 44]. 10. The list of used sources is given in alphabetical order at the end of the article text under the heading “List of Used Literature” with the numbering of each source in Arabic numerals. When using an electronic resource, it is necessary to include it in the literature list. 11. It is expected that the author makes a thorough check of the article before sending (proof editing): spelling and punctuation of materials including the correctness of writing of the relevant legal terms, the proper references to LSI (Laws and Statutory Instruments), and etc. 12. Each article will be monitored through the system of “Anti-plagiarism”.1 The costs associated with staying during the conference (travel, accommodation, etc.) are paid by the participants or carried out at the expense of the sending party.

No registration fee is charged for participation of the Conference. The conference program includes excursions and a trip to Lake Baikal. Approximate price of the program (for those who would like to join the trips) is 5000 rubles. The payment for the publication of the submitted materials is 100 rubles per page.
