Located approximately 0.5 miles from 6036 Variel Avenue at Oxnard Street, Westfield Promenade is a shopping mall currently anchored by AMC Theater, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Corner Bakery Cafe and United States Postal Service.

Plans for the long-term redevelopment of the mall were announced in October 2016. The proposed $1.5 billion mixed-use project, called Westfield Promenade 2035, aims to create a “downtown district” for the San Fernando Valley. Plans include 244,000 square feet of retail space, 1,400 apartments, 629,000 square feet of office space along with a 320,000 square foot, 15,000-seat sports and entertainment center. Construction would occur in four phases with the first phase to be completed in 2021 and the last phase to be completed in 2033. A full buildout of the Promenade 2035 project would add approximately 3,700 residents and 3,000 jobs to Warner Center.
