Our Business Service function is committed to having the right business support arrangements in place to meet the Department’s current and future needs and following our recent review we have enhanced the existing structure to ensure that we can achieve this aim.

Post 1- Early Help & Safeguarding, CIC Residential, 18 hours and 30 minutes based at Hopewell Children’s Home, Clay Cross - £9,280.56 per annum

Post 2 - Early Help & Safeguarding, CIC Residential, 20 hours based at Linden House, Swadlincote - £10,032.24 per annum

We are looking for a driven and focused individual to work within a small residential children’s home providing administrative support to a team who are responsible for the care and support of children. They will provide efficient and effective support to the teams within our Children’s homes and will provide support to ensure targets are met and service quality standards are maintained.

Previous administration experience of practices and processes is essential and working in a busy child/ren focused environment would be advantageous. You must have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines and be able to work on your own initiative.

You will be required to work within our organisational policies and procedures and in addition you will have an understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and Data Protection, you should also possess excellent ICT skills. In order to meet the needs of the service, there may also be a necessity to travel to other sites.

Due to this post having access to children, candidates must be a minimum age of 21 years old and will be required to under a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

The Coroner’s Officer will be based in the Chesterfield office and will form part of the Coroner's Office Team who act on behalf, and in support of, the Coroner, by performing investigative and administrative tasks in connection with the occurrence of sudden and reportable deaths within the Coroner’s area.

To be part of the team, and able to deliver this key role, you will need to be confident in dealing sensitively and professionally with people, and in particular those who are vulnerable and/or distressed. You will need to liaise with bereaved families, Police, medical personnel and other internal and external agencies as required.

The Enhanced Support Team is looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner. Working in partnership with Health and other agencies across Derbyshire our team works with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism who because of their complex presentation require highly specialist assessment and care planning skills.

It is intended that the post holder will play a key role in developing and supporting systems and practice that reflect the principles of Building the Right Support and enable people to leave hospital and live successfully and safely within the community.

In addition to supporting hospital discharges, it is intended that the successful candidate will play a key role within LAEP’s and the broader admission avoidance agenda.

The ability to work with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism will be a key requirement and an understanding of the impact this has on individuals and their families. Given the remit of the post the successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in accordance with the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, a working knowledge of the interface with Mental Health Act would be an advantage.

Working alongside the Service Manager and the other Senior Practitioners you will provide professional guidance and leadership to colleagues within the ASCH department and our system partners. You must have the ability to quickly build good working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a specialism working with people with a learning disability and/or autism who display behaviour that challenges, to include self-injurious or aggressive behaviour and behaviour which can lead to contact with the criminal justice system.

Peak Lodge is a purposed built establishment in the grounds of Peak School, Chinley. Peak Lodge consists of 2 homes, The Willows which is short break shared care residential home and Hill View which is 52 week placement for children living in residential care. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people with severe learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviour and profound physical disabilities. The successful candidate will work with a supportive management team and will receive regular supervision.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a child/young person centred service working in partnership with them, their families or carers and with colleagues from other settings.

Live Life Better Derbyshire (LLBD) is The Council’s lifestyle service and supports people to identify their holistic health and wellbeing needs, and provides weight management, smoking cessation and physical activity services across Derbyshire. This role will include supporting the delivery of the Live Life Better Derbyshire service by supporting clients virtually or in community to identify and address their health and wellbeing needs.

Live Life Better Derbyshire are looking to recruit 6 highly motivated Health Improvement Workers. 2 positions will focus primarily on the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) element in either the Derbyshire Dales or Bolsover & Chesterfield areas. The other 4 positions will focus primarily on the Community Health Improvement element covering either the High Peak/Derbyshire Dales, Chesterfield, Erewash or South Derbyshire. Travel across Derbyshire will be a requirement of all positions.

The NCMP Programme requires the annual measurement of the height and weight of children in reception and year 6. This is achieved through close working with schools to organise appropriate times to weigh and measure the children and to accurately record the information. Strong partnership working skills are a requirement of this post to link LLBD with the school community and developing the support available for families.

The aim of the Community Health Improvement worker is to utilise local knowledge of the community by working with a wide range of partners to identify barriers or challenges preventing clients accessing support and lifestyle services. This might be through 1-1 support, community events or engagement work. You will be required to contribute to the delivery of the Live Life Better Derbyshire (LLBD) service, supporting clients to identify and address their health and wellbeing needs through a holistic client assessment and signposting and supporting people to access a range of services. There are 2 National Child Measurement Programme positions and 4 Community positions, however all positions may require a mix of NCMP and Community work.

As Museum Services Manager you will manage the Museum and Arts Development staff and must have considerable experience of working in the curatorial field and be skilled in planning, developing and delivering exhibitions, and special events.

In the role you will manage and support the provision of cultural services to communities in Erewash including developing successful partnerships to extend the council’s audience through arts, events and educational workshops for schools and community groups.

It is essential that applicants have a post graduate qualification in art history, history, archaeology, museum management, heritage studies or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Essential Attributes:

 Considerable curatorial experience working with local/social history collections.  Ability to develop ways in which the museum’s objects, archives and artworks can be interpreted through exhibitions, events, publications and online attracting a wide audience.  Skilled in project management and experience of successful funding bids to organisations such as Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.  A team player, able to coach staff to provide a friendly, well informed and customer focused service to visitors.

The successful candidate is likely to be a good communicator with excellent customer service skills and able to create a community hub for arts in Erewash that appeals to both residents and visitors to the borough.

Training will be provided where appropriate. Good written and oral communication and negotiation skills are needed together with being proficient in IT.
