The property enjoys a stunning and secluded location enjoying complete privacy within its own peaceful wooded valley, just above the River Teign. Whilst enjoying a rural location it is only 5 miles from the A38 dual carriageway which links with the M5 motorway. The nearby small village of Hennock has a pub, primary school, 12th Century church and village hall. Newton Abbot (9 miles) and the cathedral and university city of Exeter (16 miles) provide a range of facilities befitting centres of their importance. The property is close to the high moorland of Dartmoor and not far from the Devon coastline. Being within the Dartmoor National Park, there are many thousands of beautiful, unspoilt moorland acres for country and rural pursuits. Introduction The property is ideal for a home and income opportunity with the added scope for multi-generational living due to the various units of accommodation (subject to any necessary consents). It is believed that its origins were as part of a much larger farm with a small original house (now Primrose Cottage) though a new house was added on the south side of this in the 1970s. In more recent decades, the property has been used as a successful holiday letting business. The Accommodation The majority of the accommodation is in a two-storey building that has been altered, adapted and upgraded to a good standard. The Farmhouse (owner’s accommodation) is mainly on one level but is linked by a staircase to a lower ground floor where there is further accommodation used by the house. Also within the main building is Bluebells, a one-bedroom letting unit whilst attached to the rear is Primrose Cottage a two-storey, two-bedroom letting unit. Bedroom 3 of the Farmhouse is sometimes let with Primrose Cottage to provide a three bedroom letting unit. The Farmhouse Well-appointed Conservatory on the south side (replaced in 2008) which leads into a dual aspect Kitchen/Dining Room (refitted in 2011) with granite worktops under which are a range of cupboards plus Belfast sink and electric Rangemaster stove set in tiled surround. The dining room end has room for a table and chairs, plus sofa etc. The Sitting Room is a triple aspect room with large feature brick fireplace with fitted Villager wood burning stove.
