As the exhibition title suggests, the survey, curated by the late Okwui Enwezor, former Director of Haus der Kunst and Chika Okeke-Agulu, Professor of Art History at the Department of Art and Archaeology, Princeton University, will focus on the triumphant and monumental quality of Anatsui’s sculptures. While he declared that he will follow the principles set by Qaboos in terms of foreign policy, the new ruler will have to prove Oman’s commitment to neutrality and its position as intermediary in negotiations, at a time of great regional turmoil.
