In addition to knowing the length of facial hair that you are comfortable with, you will also want to think about what style you are going for.. for example: whether you want a "dapper" hipster beard, a grizzly lumberjack beard, a red- carpet clean look, a modern goatee, some short minimalistic stubble, or another unique style. When it comes to visiting the barber, communication really is key. It is essential that you have a clear vision of your desired beard style when you visit— we encourage you to do a bit of research on the type of beard style you're interested in before your appointment. If you can find a picture of exactly the beard style that you are going for, this will make it much easier for your barber to understand exactly what you want and produce stellar work.

When asking your barber for a crew cut, make sure to indicate the type of fade you want on the sides and just how much length needs to be left on top. FADE CUT + HOT TOWEL - $30 A fade essentially means a transition of lengths and color on the back & sides of the hair. This means that the hair is not all buzzed to one length and has some sort of variation of lengths blended in together. The level of the fade - taper, low, mid or high is defined by how high the shortest part of the hair goes up the head and starts to transition into another longer length. A fade can essentially be split up into 4 key categories based on how high the fade goes up the head: taper, low, mid, or high. Talk to your barber to see what they think for your face shape, the style you're going for, as well as your lifestyle. HEAD RAZOR SHAVE - $30 After bringing your hair down to the scalp with clippers, we wrap your head in hot towels and prep with the finest pre- shave oils and creams. Hot lather and a straight razor head shave are finished off with post- shave balm and a cool towel for your comfort.
LONG-LAYERED CUT - $35 If you love your long hair and don't want to get rid of the length, but are looking for a new style, then long- layered haircuts are the way to go! Layers can add life to your longer hair and also help remove some of the weight for those with thicker hair. As well, if you have thin or fine hair, layers can add a ton of volume. Layered hair can make you look and feel years younger!
REGULAR CUT - $30 Have a hairstyle in mind before visiting your barber. If possible, research the different types of haircuts and find a picture that matches the style you want to show us during your visit. For example: If you’re asking for a fade, know which type or number (e.g. guard size refers to length) that you prefer. Decide how you want to style your hair on top. What hairstyle you pick will determine the length of your cut and what parts of your hair need to be layered, thinned, straightened or shortened. Finally, select how to trim your neckline. Your neckline can be cut in a few ways – blocked, rounded, or tapered. This is a great place to start!
SHAMPOO + CUT - $35 If you’ve got a little bit more time on your hands, you might want to consider our Shampoo + Cut service. Ideal for those who want to look good, quick, this option includes a thorough shampoo and condition prior to your cut and utilizes professional shampoo and conditioner products. After fully cleaning and conditioning your hair, our trained professionals at First Class are ready to tend to your style needs, whether you’re after a quick trim, a restyle, or you're wanting to put some much- needed shape back into a tired look.
SHAPE-UP - $12 The quicker, simpler approach your barber can take for your shape- up to get you ready and out of the door as fast as possible!
SHAPE-UP ALL AROUND - $25 The shape- up hairstyle, also sometimes called a "line- up" or an "edge- up" is a way to shape the haircut. This shaping involves straightening of the hairline. In fact, there is usually no actual cutting. The barber will use outliners (clippers) or a razor to make neat lines around the client's haircut. Usually, the haircut will be outlined around the head, including the area behind the areas, the lower part of the head and the sideburns. If there is any stray hair beyond the shaped- up hairline, the barber will shave it off.
