It is strongly recommended that any athlete who is likely to make an application next April familiarise themselves with the updated policy now to maximise their chances of being eligible for an award. Athletes should note that: Senior athletes will only be awarded money from the pool if they compete (in a Cherrybrook club uniform where possible) for the club on at least 4 occasions (in a Cherrybrook Committee approved event including at least 2 Treloar Shields and either at the Senior State Relays and/or NSW Club Championships) during the season. Masters and Para athletes will only be awarded money from the pool if they compete (in a Cherrybrook club uniform where permissible) for the club on at least 4 occasions in a Cherrybrook committee approved event (including at least 2 Treloar Shields and make themselves available at either the NSW Senior State Relays and/or NSW Club Championships) during the season. Masters Athletes will only be allocated pool money if they have in the previous calendar year’s “World Masters Ranking List” an outdoor world ranking which placed them the higher of a Top 10 ranking for an event or the Top 10% of all ranked athletes (eg an athlete will need to be ranked at least 5th if there are only 50 athletes in the ranking list). Para athlete funding is only available for seniors events which require a qualifying standard to have been achieved. For Para Competitions which do not have qualification standards, 3 discretionary consideration will be given. CHERRYBROOK RECORDS If you think you have broken a Cherrybrook record during the season please provide details to Robert Clark at [email protected]. Records at the start of the season are set out in the 2017-2018 Red Book and on the Club website under Centre Records. SENIOR CURRENT RECORDS Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all records are correct, we rely heavily on Athletes to inform the Club if they have broken a record. Records may be broken at Club level, at major LA’s Championship event and at any verifiable NSW, Australian or International meet, consideration will be given to records achieved at major school events such as CCC, CHS and CIS. If a record has been missed please notify the club. Records for the U14 and U16 Age Groups are only awarded for events, which have the same senior competition specifications, this means that some LA’s State results may not be used as records eg 200m hurdles and some throw events.
