36 37 Appresfondo Arcobaleno for apprentices.

The Cantonal Fund for professional training pays 50% of the public transport costs of apprentices with in-company apprenticeship contracts.

Each apprentice is sent a letter with a voucher (Rail Check) which entitles them to a 40% discount on the cost of an annual Arcobaleno «Appresfondo» pass (for apprentices subsidised by the fund).

The Rail Check is sent to the new apprentice as soon as their contract has been approved and confirmed each year, provided there is no breach of contract. The pass is intended for apprentices employed in Canton Ticino only.

In principle «Appresfondo» is a 2nd class pass. However, on request, a 1st class pass can also be issued, but in this case the pass holder is directly responsible for paying the difference in cost.

«Appresfondo» passes can be obtained at the SBB sales points, PostBus, TPL and FART stations, by handing the Rail Check over at the counter.
