This contest is open to all persons ages 16 and older with base access to Naval Station Mayport. Pre-registration is required. Registration forms can be picked up at Castaway�s Lounge, Planet Mayport Single Sailor Center or the MWR Business Office. Both music and variety talent are welcome. With more than 20 perform- ers to include the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, spectators had plenty of sky filled entertain- ment for the weekend. “We come every year and we never get tired of it,” said Emily Chase. “There are just so many talented performers and of course we love the Blue Angels. This is also a great way to come out and support our military.” There were also over 24 dif- ferent ground activities for peo- ple to partake in such as a rock climbing wall, food, booths and games. “There were so many great things this year and we went by the care package booth to learn how to send packages to our hero’s overseas,” said Clarence Townsend. “My wife and I also really enjoyed the Vietnam Memorial Wall.” People viewing the air show were not the only ones that enjoyed themselves, mem- bers of the Blue Angels said they really enjoy coming to Jacksonville and with good rea- son. “It’s just an awesome show for us.
