Thank you for sending your children to Lincoln Lutheran and thank you for your generous support through volunteering and financial support. The last year saw an increase in the number of students, many hours of volunteering that allowed events to happen, and a very successful year of financial support. A few of the successes during the past year: • Large attendance for Grandparent’s Day • Successful and fun golf tournament • Over 800 in attendence for all Lutheran School chapel during National Lutheran Schools Week • Large attendance and financial support through the annual Gala • Great start to the Now Through Eternity campaign resulting in: o Growth in scholarship endowments o Additional debt reduction o Tuition increase for 2017-18 is the lowest since 2001 o Construction of a multi-use building will begin in September 2017 The one question that I am frequently asked is “How can you ask people for money?” To tell you the truth it is not hard at all when you believe in the product you are “selling”. I believe in Lincoln Lutheran and the Christ-centered education received by students. My job is to “plant the seed” by telling the story and the Holy Spirit does the work in the hearts of people that hear the story and experience Lincoln Lutheran. My prayer for this next school year is to meet more of the special people that make Lincoln Lutheran what it is today and together we can continue to make a difference in the lives of young men and women, Today, Tomorrow, and Forever.

As I look back on the past school year and the new school year of 2016-2017, I realize how blessed Lincoln Lutheran is. God has continued to pour down his blessings for which we are all thankful. It is impossible to list all of the blessings but here are a few to highlight: • two of our students were baptized • successful and fun night at the Gala • finished the fiscal year in the “black” for the 3rd year in a row • the completion of the fully funded Science Education Renovation in July • started the new school year with 330 students – a 10% increase • Lutheran Education Foundation Legacy Society has grown to 39 members I look forward to the new school year and look forward to see what TOMORROW holds for the ministry of Lincoln Lutheran. TONN OSTERGARD, CRETE CARRIER CORP. 2011 CHAIR Lincoln Chamber of Commerce Members: Thank you for the honor and pleasure of serving as your Chairman in 2011. I anticipated it was going to be an exciting year but I’m not sure I appreciated the extent of what we were to experience. Starting the year with Steve Forbes as keynote at our annual meeting set the appropriate tone. What a great event. The year that followed lived up to Mr. Forbes’ free enterprise rallying cry. We stayed busy and provided leadership on several key projects such as CIR reform, the Talent & Innovation package of legislative bills, the Guardians of Freedom Airshow, funding for roads, Nebraska Innovation Campus, and another sold-out Federal Fly-Back event in Ashland. The Chamber is perpetual motion – always on the move and always working on something to help improve our community. We even managed to develop a new program to support internships.
