Considered a genius in his native Spain, superstar Miguel Poveda's nuanced and soulful voice has no equal in the world of flamenco. Thursday 3/26, 8:00pm: FLAMENCO FESTIVAL MIAMI XIII: MARÍA PAGÉS COMPAÑIA: YO CARMEN at Adrienne Arsht Center. María Pagés returns to Flamenco Festival Miami with a new work deeply rooted in her desire to talk about women — embarking on a genuinely feminine adventure that tells a different story about what real women feel and live. Friday 3/27, 8:00pm: FLAMENCO FESTIVAL MIAMI XIII: COMPAÑIA MANUEL LIÑÁN: ¡VIVA! at Adrienne Arsht Center. Manuel Liñán returns to Flamenco Festival Miami with an all-male dance company, in a new show that explores gender identity through characterizations inspired by the flamenco woman. Saturday 3/28, 8:00pm Sunday 3/29, 2:00pm: STARS OF FLAMENCO: MERCEDES RUIZ, MARIA MORENO AND EDUARDO GUERRERO at Adrienne Arsht Center. Stars of Flamenco is a long- standing tradition of Flamenco Festival Miami joining exceptional flamenco dancers and singers in an evening that demonstrates the diversity and vibrancy of flamenco. Learn how this once vivacious community on stilts dwindled down to the seven houses that remain today. Dr. George will narrate and share stories of nefarious gangsters, stunning graffiti, and fabulous parties while guests cruise past the Cape Florida Lighthouse, Key Biscayne, and the City of Miami.
