January 29, 2021 Mr. Greg Fletcher Chief Administrative Officer Mount Waddington Regional Hospital District (MWRHD) PO Box 729 2044 McNeill Road Port McNeill BC V0N2R0 Dear Mr. Fletcher: Re: 2021/22 Capital Projects and Equipment I am writing to advise you of the Island Health 2021/22 capital plan for which MWRHD cost-sharing is requested. I understand the MWRHD has approved a provisional 2021 budget of $265,200 for minor capital projects and equipment. In December, Island Health completed its minor capital project and equipment prioritization. Based on this information and the funding expected from the Ministry of Health, Island Health proposes to proceed with projects and equipment with a total cost of $1,696,144 as summarized below and itemized in the attached lists. Island Health recognizes that MWRHD may not be able to cost-share these projects and equipment at the usual 40% given the late notice. However, Island Health is requesting MWRHD consideration to increase its 2021 budget. A Bureauof Mines was established by Parliamentaryauthority in 1895 and in 1896 was staffed by a ProvincialMineralogist and an assayer/chemist. Technicalreports on mines andmining activities were prepared by them and published in the Annual Report,together with reports contributed by the MiningRecorders and Gold Commissioners.
