  • Rock Album Discography Last Up-Date: September 27Th, 2021
Rock Album Discography Last up-date: September 27th, 2021 Rock Album Discography “Music was my first love, and it will be my last” was the first line of the virteous song “Music” on the album “Rebel”, which was produced by Alan Parson, sung by John Miles, and released I n 1976. From my point of view, there is no other citation, which more properly expresses the emotional impact of music to human beings. People come and go, but music remains forever, since acoustic waves are not bound to matter like monuments, paintings, or sculptures. In contrast, music as sound in general is transmitted by matter vibrations and can be reproduced independent of space and time. In this way, music is able to connect humans from the earliest high cultures to people of our present societies all over the world. Music is indeed a universal language and likely not restricted to our planetary society. The importance of music to the human society is also underlined by the Voyager mission: Both Voyager spacecrafts, which were launched at August 20th and September 05th, 1977, are bound for the stars, now, after their visits to the outer planets of our solar system (mission status: https://voyager.jpl.nasa.gov/mission/status/). They carry a gold- plated copper phonograph record, which comprises 90 minutes of music selected from all cultures next to sounds, spoken messages, and images from our planet Earth. There is rather little hope that any extraterrestrial form of life will ever come along the Voyager spacecrafts. But if this is yet going to happen they are likely able to understand the sound of music from these records at least.

The following article is verbatim from http://biomedx.com/microscopes/rrintro/rrintro.html It all begins with pH THE pH REGULATORY SYSTEM OF THE BODY The pH balance of the human bloodstream is recognized by all medical physiology texts as one of the most important biochemical balances in all of human body chemistry. pH is the acronym for "Potential Hydrogen". In definition, it is the degree of concentration of hydrogen ions in a substance or solution. It is measured on a logarithmic scale from 0 to 14. Higher numbers means a substance is more alkaline in nature and there is a greater potential for absorbing more hydrogen ions. Lower numbers indicate more acidity with less potential for absorbing hydrogen ions. Our body pH is very important because pH controls the speed of our body's biochemical reactions. It does this by controlling the speed of enzyme activity as well as the speed that electricity moves through our body. The higher (more alkaline) the pH of a substance or solution, the more electrical resistance that substance or solution holds. Therefore, electricity travels slower with higher pH. All biochemical reactions and electrical (life) energy are under pH control. If we say something has an acid pH, we are saying it is hot and fast. As an example, look at the battery of your car. It's an acid battery. On cold days you want it to be hot and ready, and you want your car to start fast. Alkaline pH on the other hand, biochemically speaking, is slow and cool. Compare it to an alkaline battery in a flashlight.

What better time to give thanks to everyone who makes Sojourns the special place it has become for so many? As we approach our 9th birthday, we reflect on all we’ve accomplished with pride, while continuing to dream about where we are going. "ank you for being part of this amazing journey ! ~Cynthia N. Moore, MS, Executive Director Kim Peavey has been coming to Sojourns for nearly five years. She lives and works on a 53-acre farm in Westmoreland, New Hampshire. What first brought you to Sojourns? A recommendation from a good friend. I had a bellyful (and an armful and a legful and a headful) of negative experiences with the conventional medical establishment, and was looking for something different. I felt myself relax as soon as I walked into the beautiful waiting room at Sojourns. It’s a place that recognizes that your whole self is essential to healing. What is your whole self engaged in when you’re not relaxing at Sojourns? (Laughter) I write. Poetry mostly, some articles and essays. Much of my writing is informed by growing up on a family dairy farm in the foothills of the Adirondacks in Central New York State, as well as by my interests in both literature and theology. I have graduate degrees in both areas, and am especially intrigued by the connections between religion and ecology, spirit and place.

With different isoforms distributed in various tissues, the shortest isoform of VEGF-A is VEGF121, one of the physiologically functional variants next to VEGF165. It is well known that VEGF has a shorter half-life, and the stability of the protein must be considered in therapeutic aspects. Poly-l-lactide (PLA) microparticles can release the encapsulated protein in a sustained release mode. In this study, the VEGF121 gene was cloned and expressed in a prokaryotic expression system (Escherichia coli). The recombinant VEGF121 was encapsulated with PLA microparticles and studied in vitro and ex ovo for the sustained release mechanism. The PLA-VEGF microparticles and the recombinant VEGF121 were explored for their bioactivity in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). VEGF released in vitro from PLA microparticles on days 1, 20, and 30 showed remarkable biological activity compared to PBS-loaded PLA microparticles such as the ability of the cells to proliferate, migrate, and form tubes similar to recombinant VEGF121.
