Day 1: Hyalite Canyon / Arch Falls / Gallatin Canyon

Pick-up in Bozeman • To begin our adventure, embark on a short hike through the mountainous bowl of Hyalite Canyon, taking in picture-perfect views of the lake along the way • Relish a gourmet picnic lunch upon returning from your adventure • Shuttle towards the town of Big Sky via Gallatin Canyon and prepare for a scenic downhill bike ride with views of Lone Peak and the surrounding Madison Range as your backdrop • Tonight’s dinner is at the 320 Guest ’s renowned Steakhouse • Overnight 320 Guest Ranch (L, D)

Day 2: Beehive Basin / Big Sky

Head out on an all-day trek amid the Spanish Peaks to Beehive Basin with never-ending views of several mountain ranges, including Big Sky’s Lone Mountain (an alternate hike may be arranged on early season departures, depending on trail conditions) • Dine on a trailside picnic lunch near the shore of an alpine lake • Continue your hike through wildflower-dotted meadows, ice-cold streams and the jagged crags of Beehive Peak • Get your on with a BBQ meal at the 320 Guest Ranch this evening • Overnight 320 Guest Ranch (B, L, D)

Day 3: Yellowstone: Old Faithful & Lake Yellowstone

Take in your beautiful surroundings on a scenic shuttle to Yellowstone for a bike tour of the third largest hot spring in the world – Grand Prismatic • Move on to Old Faithful, lying at the head of the Upper Geyser Basin, home to the largest collection of geysers on earth • Shuttle along the shoreline of Yellowstone Lake with its gorgeous backdrop of the Absaroka Mountains • Tonight, listen to some live music in Lake ’s Sun Room before an upscale dinner in the historic dining room • End the evening with a pleasant walk under the starry sky back to your cabin • Overnight Lake Hotel Cabins (B, L, D)

Day 4: Hayden Valley / Canyon / Yellowstone River

Keep your eyes open for grizzly bears, wolves and bison in Yellowstone’s famous Hayden Valley this morning • See for yourself the unforgettable views from Artist Point and embark on a fascinating trek through the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone • Shuttle to the historic town of Gardiner and enjoy lunch at the park overlooking Roosevelt Arch • After lunch, jump into rafts for a fun and splashy ride down the Yellowstone River • Drive to Chico Hot Springs and Day Spa through the aptly-named Paradise Valley • Dinner tonight is on your own • Overnight Chico Hot Springs (B, L)

Day 5: Absaroka Mountains / Paradise Valley

Drive a short distance to Flying Diamond Ranch and get ready for a morning of horseback riding high into the Absaroka Mountains • Our picnic lunch spot boasts magnificent mountain views • This afternoon, hike to a picturesque waterfall set back amongst towering pine trees • Back at Chico, take advantage of an adults-only candlelit farewell dinner while the kids are entertained with a pizza party at the Poolside Grill • Overnight Chico Hot Springs (B, L, D)

Day 6: Chico Hot Springs / Bozeman

This morning, take a short hike to a trout pond overlooking Paradise Valley or relax with one last morning soak in the hot springs • Shuttle one hour to the Bozeman airport and area • (B)

Hiking: 2 to 6 miles per hike, easy to difficult terrain

Horseback Riding: No experience required, nice walking pace

Biking: 6 to 10 miles, easy to moderate terrain

Whitewater Rafting: Class I to Class III rapids, no experience necessary

Discovery: Traverse the property at the 320 Guest Ranch in search of a cleanly imprinted grizzly track in the dried mud. Learn the difference between Yellowstone’s four geothermal features: geysers, hot springs, mud pots, and fumaroles. Take a guess at why Yellowstone’s bubbling hot springs come in a wide array of bright colors. Taste your way through an assortment of wild game options, perhaps the elk tenderloin, antelope sausage, or duck breast will be to your liking! Spot all kinds of wildlife ranging from the cute, furry Uinta Ground Squirrel to the massive, shaggy American Bison. Observe the effects of wildfire in a lodgepole pine ecosystem, past and present. Listen to a rancher’s side of the story as you hear Martin or Jack Davis, fourth generation cowboys, explain how Yellowstone’s reintroduced wolves have affected their cattle population.
