The so ball playoff s will be a seven-divisional format, with 243 total teams entered. The single-elim- ina on tournaments will open on Tuesday, April 30 with wild-card round contests where necessary, fol- lowed by fi rst-round games in all divisions on Thursday, May 2. The championships will be held at Deanna Manning Stadium at Colonel Bill Barber Park in Irvine on Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18.     STUDENT/PARENT SUPPORT OF POLICY When a student enrolls in Alverno Heights Academy, she and her parents/guardians automatically agree to support the policies, traditions and programs of the school as outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook and other school policy documents.     MS News---Week of November 30, 2020 • Middle School Holiday Service Project: For over the last 30 years the Middle School has visited the Bryon E. Thompson School for Orthopedically Challenged students in El Monte. We paired up with students there and provided gifts and companionship for a day. This year we can’t visit due to the pandemics. To continue our tradition of service we are partnering with Shepherd's Pantry in Irwindale to fell stockings for kids from 0 to 13. Here is what our middle schoolers can do to participate: Buy a stocking and decide if k if it's for a boy or a girl. • Pick an appropriate age range: Infant, Toddler, 4-7. 7-10, or 10-13. • Fill it with fun stocking stuffers (candy, small toys, etc). • Shepherd's Pantry will be adding a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble to each stocking. • Our students can drop off the stockings here at Barnhart on the evening of Dec. 17th during our holiday drive through. • Secret Santa: Holiday cheer is always alive in the Middle School and this year is no exception! Many students expressed an interest in playing Secret Santa. A survey was given to the students where they could join in the activity. Participation is entirely optional. Students were asked to supply a non-Barnhart email address (their own or a parent) where a small gift could be sent. Within a grade student names will be distributed randomly. A limit of $10 was set for the gifts which may be made, purchased, or gift cards and should be received by December 14.
