OCTOBER 13, 2018 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: THOM SIMMONS PAIRINGS ANNOUNCED FOR 2018 CIF SOUTHERN SECTION-FORD GIRLS VOLLEYBALL PLAYOFFS LOS ALAMITOS — CIF Southern Sec on-Ford Playoff pairings for the fall sport of girl’s volleyball were announced at the CIF Southern Sec on headquarters today. A total of 289 teams have qualifi ed into the nine divisional playoff brackets. The single- elimina on tournaments start with wild-card games (where necessary) Tuesday. They will be followed by fi rst round games on Thursday. The championship fi nals will be conducted in a one-day, nine-match extravaganza at Cerritos College and designated host sites on Nov. 3. The No. 1-seeded teams include: Mater Dei, Aliso Niguel, Village Chris an, Quartz Hill, Ontario Chris an, Grace Brethren, Linfi eld Chris an, Faith Bap st, and Orange Vista.   • Middle School Holiday Service Project: for Over the Last 30 Years the Middle School Has Visited the Bryon E
    MS News---Week of November 30, 2020 • Middle School Holiday Service Project: For over the last 30 years the Middle School has visited the Bryon E. Thompson School for Orthopedically Challenged students in El Monte. We paired up with students there and provided gifts and companionship for a day. This year we can’t visit due to the pandemics. To continue our tradition of service we are partnering with Shepherd's Pantry in Irwindale to fell stockings for kids from 0 to 13. Here is what our middle schoolers can do to participate: Buy a stocking and decide if k if it's for a boy or a girl. • Pick an appropriate age range: Infant, Toddler, 4-7. 7-10, or 10-13. • Fill it with fun stocking stuffers (candy, small toys, etc). • Shepherd's Pantry will be adding a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble to each stocking. • Our students can drop off the stockings here at Barnhart on the evening of Dec. 17th during our holiday drive through. • Secret Santa: Holiday cheer is always alive in the Middle School and this year is no exception! Many students expressed an interest in playing Secret Santa. A survey was given to the students where they could join in the activity. Participation is entirely optional. Students were asked to supply a non-Barnhart email address (their own or a parent) where a small gift could be sent. Within a grade student names will be distributed randomly. A limit of $10 was set for the gifts which may be made, purchased, or gift cards and should be received by December 14.

The registration of a student is deemed to be an agreement on his/her part, and on the part of their parent(s)/guardian(s), to comply fully with all policies, rules, and regulations of the School, as outlined in this Handbook. The use of the term parent(s)/guardian(s) throughout this document is meant to include a single parent(s)/guardian(s) and legal guardians. Regardless of age, all students at Alverno Heights Academy, Upper School are required to comply with all rules and regulations found in this handbook. The school expects its students to reside with parent(s)/guardian(s) while enrolled. Students are enrolled at Alverno Heights Academy, Upper School on the basis of a yearly evaluation and acceptance. Alverno Heights Academy reserves the right to dismiss students at any time for infractions of regulations whether on or off campus, unsatisfactory academic or disciplinary standing, or other reasons that affect the welfare of the individual student, the student community, or the School’s reputation.
