Dalek Booklet The Dalek – Recognise Your Enemy Page 1 A Dalek Design and Painting Guide. This is a guide to all the 44 different types of Daleks that have been shown on T.V or on Film. Plus a Dalek from the new 2005 series of Doctor Who; courtesy of a photo from the Sun newspaper. Practically each time a Dalek was required by the BBC it was remodelled or repainted resulting in changes to the design or colour of the Dalek. The following pages were created because I wanted to paint each version and I needed a reference work in order to discover out how many there were. The guide is in 3 parts. 1. A series of tables showing the components and the colours of individual Daleks, together with an accompanying painting. 2. A series of tables showing all the different components used to make the final Daleks 3. A paint colour guide. The information was acquired by a combination of: watching the shows on DVD (to capture images for study); from sites on the web, notably the Dalek Extermination page (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/grahamwalters/dalek_fr.htm) and Dalek 6388 (http://www.pghifi.demon.co.uk/dalek6388), the Dalek Builders Workshop Manual by John Darley and Malcolm Lear, and the painting guide to Sevans model Dalek. The Dalek images were created in 3D Studio Max as full size engineering models and then textured, lit and rendered. Richard Byrne. DOCTOR WHO - it's a question and a statement... Compiled by James Deacon [2013] http://aetw.org/omega.html DOCTOR WHO - it's a Question, and a Statement ... Every now and then, I read comments from Whovians about how the programme is called: "Doctor Who" - and how you shouldn't write the title as: "Dr. Who". Also, how the central character is called: "The Doctor", and should not be referred to as: "Doctor Who" (or "Dr. Who" for that matter) But of course, the Truth never quite that simple As the Evidence below will show... * * * * * * * http://aetw.org/omega.html THE PROGRAMME Yes, the programme is titled: "Doctor Who", but from the very beginning – in fact from before the beginning, the title has also been written as: “DR WHO”. From the BBC Archive Original 'treatment' (Proposal notes) for the 1963 series: Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/doctorwho/6403.shtml?page=1 http://aetw.org/omega.html And as to the central character ... Just as with the programme itself - from before the beginning, the central character has also been referred to as: "DR. WHO". [From the same original proposal document:] http://aetw.org/omega.html In the BBC's own 'Radio Times' TV guide (issue dated 14 November 1963), both the programme and the central character are called: "Dr. Who" On page 7 of the BBC 'Radio Times' TV guide (issue dated 21 November 1963) there is a short feature on the new programme: Again, the programme is titled: "DR. WHO" "In this series of adventures in space and time the title-role [i.e.

I gave this book 3 stars out of 5, balancing good Daak and bad Hulk. Paul Cornell is a British writer of science fiction and fantasy prose, comics and television. In the 26 th century the Earth Empire is in a death struggle with voracious Dalek forces yet still riven Doctor Who: Nemesis of the Daleks home-grown threats. Doctor Who fans in the s and s were a pretty devoted lot. It's a magnificent illustration of why I despise multi-part storytelling with a passion. Davros has activated the long-dormant Doctor Who: Nemesis of the Daleks army hidden there, converting them to the white and gold colour scheme applied to the Daleks he created on the planet Necros in Revelation of the Daleks. He plays second fiddle during most of the Doctor Who: Nemesis of the Daleks. Goodreads is the world's largest site for readers with over 50 million reviews. Emperor of the Daleks Assimilation 2. So three and half stars. Are you happy to accept all Doctor Who: Nemesis of the Daleks But I wish they'd put them in a more accurate chronological order. Other books in this series. Doctor Who Magazine — The longer pieces were better, especially 'Train Flight' and 'Nemesis'. It was interesting to see some elements similar to later TV plots - for instance the idea of a planetary library this time infested with bugs rather than the more scary Vashta Neradaa graveyard of the Tardises and a Time Lord killer - and in 'Who's That Girl' there appears to be a female Doctor.

  • Doctor Who and the Destiny of the Daleks
DOCTOR WHO AND THE DESTINY OF THE DALEKS By TERRANCE DICKS Based on the BBC television serial by Terry Nation by arrangement with the British Broadcasting Corporation 1 The Dead City Through the vortex, that mysterious region where time and space are one, sped a police box that was not a police box at all. It was, in fact, a highly sophisticated space/time ship called the TARDIS, a name taken from its initials, Time and Relative Dimensions in Space. Inside its impossibly large control room (for the TARDIS was dimensionally transcendental) was a many- sided central console. Beside it a very tall man with a shock of curly hair was making minute adjustments to the larynx of a robot dog. The robot dog was called K9, and the man trying to repair it was that mysterious traveller in time and space known as the Doctor. He wore loose, comfortable clothing, topped off with a broad-brimmed floppy soft hat, and an incredibly long multi-coloured scarf. He was muttering crossly as he worked. 'How can a robot possibly get laryngitis? What do you need it for?' Naturally enough poor K9 didn't reply. Without looking up the Doctor yelled, 'Romana!' A girl came into the room, carrying, with some difficulty, a full-length mirror on a stand. 'Yes, Doctor?' The Doctor looked up and blinked in astonishment. The girl who had answered his call wasn't the girl he expected. Or at least she didn't look like the girl he expected. 'Sorry, I thought you were Romana. Have you seen her? And anyway, what are you doing here?' 'Regenerating.

  • DR243 Instructions
DR243 Dalek Line Tracker Instructions - + 1.5VX2 SIZE “AAA’’ + - How it works The technology behind this line tracker belongs to 2 sensors located on the bottom of Dalek. Each sensor has a pair of infrared LEDs and an infrared light sensor that controls the corresponding motor. The infrared LED generates the signal to the paper and the receiver will obtain the reflected signal to differen- tiate the line from the surrounding area. Once the unit detects the line, it will drive the wheels to run. So, the reflection of the light is key to drive the wheels! Drawing a line for the Dalek to follow A) Line color It must be BLACK otherwise the reflected infrared signal will not be received by the sensor and the corre- sponding motor won't drive. B) Line width The line width should be narrower than the distance between the 2 sensors. However, we cannot make the line too thin. Please search and view the pdf “DR243 – Guide Paths” on http://www.zeonltd.co.uk/filesearch-zeon.php for examples on the width of the lines that need to be drawn. First use of the Dalek Line Tracker Running on Straight line To start, draw a long straight line with BLACK marker on WHITE paper. The line must be 0.8 ~ 1 cm wide. Turn on the power switch, place the Dalek on the middle of line and it will run along the line immediately. DR243 Dalek Line Tracker Instructions Draw a Parking Line Draw a thicker line perpendicular to the straight Line like a “T” shape.

Characters D6 / Imperial Special Weapons Dalek Imperial Special Weapons Dalek Daleks were mutated descendents of the Kaleds of the planet Skaro. They fought and destroyed the Time Lords in the Last Great Time War. They regarded the the Doctor as their greatest single enemy and were hated and feared throughout time and space. On the planet Skaro, during the final days of the Thousand Year War between the Thals and Kaleds, both sides began to suffer mutations caused by the use of nuclear, biological and chemical agents. Some of the mutant survivors, the mutoes, managed to survive in the wastelands . Shan, a young Kaled scientist, authored a paper that theorized that with both Kaleds and Thals competing for resources, she called the only way out of this dilemma "the Dalek Solution". Davros took the paper and presented it to the Kaled Council as his own . Another account says that Davros had found a prophecy in the forbidden Book of Predictions which stated that one day mortals would transcend into gods. The last word, said aloud, sounded like dal ek. Subsequently, Davros now crippled, was one of the Kaled Scientific Elite. He had begun experiments on living subjects and hoped to deify the Kaled race. Davros pushed through legislation enabling authority (and ownership) of all Kaled infants under the age of five years old and to be delivered to Pediatric Facility K-99, which he used as a laboratory to do surgical experiments. Davros transplanted the brain from Baran, a captured Thal spy, into a Mark I Travel Machine. Davros did not immediately show the results of his Dalek experiments to the Kaled Scientific Elite.
