In collaboration with Co-hosted by Betty Brinn Children’s Museum & Milwaukee Makerspace A Dalek World Record? Yes! WITNESS A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT AT THE FAIRE! EVEN BETTER, BE PART OF THE TEAM.

Dalek Asylum Milwaukee will attempt the world’s largest gathering of Daleks at Maker Faire Milwaukee, and is drafting a Dalek Dream Team to make it happen. Classic construction, cardboard, Dalek costumes…anything goes.

Let’s do the math: Dalek Asylum Milwaukee currently has 22 entries lined up, and needs another 78 to break the record. We need at least 75 Dalek Dream Team members – and the more, the merrier!

Create your own Dalek for under $12. You may even have enough materials left over for a friend! what you will need: (Most building materials can be found at a dollar store.)

Adhesive* We recommend glue that has exceptional adhesion to wood, metal, glass, fberglass, ceramics, and concrete. It may help if it also adheres strongly to leather, rubber, vinyl and plastics.

Dome A bowl or colander that fts on your head.

Weapons You MUST have two weapons. Consider using a plunger, whisk or paint roller.

Ears • Eggs • Eye Stalk All of these parts can be made out of styrofoam cups, small plastic bowls or condiment containers. Eggs can be made of card stock and attached to a skirt or apron. Battery tea lights or lights with small bulbs are optional. Note: Glue, wire or string will work to attach eye stalk and ears to your dome.

Get creative! As long as you have the basic elements listed above, you are eligible to participate in breaking the world’s record and the best Dalek Cosplay will even win $100!
