Ayrıca Zyganeidae bireyler yaşam çizelgesi hesaplamalarında kullanılmak üzere eşey tayinleri (Lepidoptera) familyasına bağlı Zygaena carniolica (Scopoli), Zygaena yapılarak kaydedilmiştir. Ele alınan bir populasyonun canlı kalma, hesaplanmıştır (Birch 1948): üreme ve gelişme zamanlarının tesbiti ile oluşturulan yaşam çizelgeleri, bir türün (2) populasyon dinamiğini anlamak için önemlidir (Southwood 1978). DALLA TORRE, FRILLI, HABERMEHL, HORSTMANN, MEYER, MORLEY, PFANKUCH, SCHMIEDEKNECHT, and TOWNES, considered the subgenus sensu GRAVENHORST (1829) as genus.   • Holland Landing Prairie Provincial Park
    HOLLAND LANDING PRAIRIE PROVINCIAL PARK One Malaise trap was deployed at Holland Landing Prairie Provincial Park in 2014 (44.11894, -79.48795, 271m ASL; Figure 1). This trap collected arthropods for twenty weeks from May 1 – September 22, 2014. All 10 Malaise trap samples were processed using the bulk sample analysis protocol. A total of 2345 BINs were obtained. Over half the BINs captured were flies (Diptera), followed by bees, ants and wasps (Hymenoptera), moths and butterflies (Lepidoptera), and true bugs (Hemiptera; Figure 2). In total, 544 arthropod species were named, representing 26.1% of the BINs from the site (Appendix 1). All the BINs were assigned at least to family, and 60.5% were assigned to a genus Figure 1. The spatial diversity of Ichneumonidae in two consecutive years was studied in three habitats: forest, rangeland and orchards. A total of 336 specimens representing 62 genera and 97 species were collected and identified.

Box 14515/775, Tehran – Iran; [email protected] Preface The Ichneumonidae is one of the most species rich families of all organisms with an estimated 60000 species in the world (Townes, 1969). Even so, many authorities regard this figure as an underestimate! (Gauld, 1991). An estimated 12100 species of Ichneumonidae occur in the Afrotropical region (Africa south of the Sahara and including Madagascar) (Townes & Townes, 1973), of which only 1927 have been described (Yu, 1998). This means that roughly 16% of the afrotropical ichneumonids are known to science! These species comprise 338 genera. The family Ichneumonidae is currently split into 37 subfamilies (including, Acaenitinae; Adelognathinae; Agriotypinae; Alomyinae; Anomaloninae; Banchinae; Brachycyrtinae; Campopleginae; Collyrinae; Cremastinae; Cryptinae; Ctenopelmatinae; 1 Diplazontinae; Eucerotinae; Ichneumoninae; Labeninae; Lycorininae; Mesochorinae; Metopiinae; Microleptinae; Neorhacodinae; Ophioninae; Orthopelmatinae; Orthocentrinae; Oxytorinae; Paxylomatinae; Phrudinae; Phygadeuontinae; Pimplinae; Rhyssinae; Stilbopinae; Tersilochinae; Tryphoninae; Xoridinae) (Yu, 1998). (Lepidoptera: Pieridae) were conducted in the Brassica agro-ecosystem in the Urmia region, northwest of Iran, between 2008 and 2009. Parasitized hosts were collected from infested plants placed in Brassica crops during the growing season (June-October), and from the natural P. brassicae population on the com- mon weeds Capparis spinosa L. (Capparaceae), Crambe orientalis L. (Brassicaceae) and Raphanus raphanistrum L. (Brassicaceae) during the summer production break (December). Ten species of primary parasitoids – Cotesia glomerata (L.) (Hym., Braconidae), Brachymeria femorata Panzer (Hym.: Chalcididae), Aprostocetus taxi Graham (Hym.: Eulophidae), Agrothereutes adustus Grav., Blapsidotes vicinus Grav., Hyposoter clauses Brischke (Hym.: Ichneumonidae), Pteromalus puparum (L.) (Hym.: Pteromalidae) and Exorista larvarum (L.), Ex- orista segregata Rondan, Phryxe vulgaris Fallén (Dip.: Tachinidae) were identified. The most numerous were P. puparum (with 49.65% in 2008 and 46.13% in 2009) and C. glomerata (with 43.45% and 45.57% in 2008 and 2009, respectively). The following species: A. adustus, A. taxi, B. vicinus, B. femorata, H. clauses and P. vulgaris, were newly recorded for the Iranian fauna.     Life history evolution in the parasitoid Hymenoptera Ruth Elizabeth Traynor This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy University of York Department of Biology 2004 Abstract This thesis addresses life history evolution of the parasitoid Hymenoptera. It aims to identify assumptions that should be incorporated into parasitoid life history theory and the predictions that theory should aim to make. Both two species and multi-species comparative studies as well as up-to-date phylogenetic information are employed to investigate these issues. Anecdotal observations suggest that solitary parasitoids have narrower host ranges than closely related gregarious species. There are several possible reasons for this; for example gregarious species may be able to exploit larger bodied hosts because they can fully consume the host, which may be essential for successful pupation to occur. Comparative laboratory experiments between two closely related species of Aphaereta, one of which is solitary and the other gregarious, show no difference in the extent of host range. This study does, however, suggest that differences in the realized niche that each species occupies in the field may result from life history differences between the species. These differences may themselves have arisen due to solitary or gregarious development. The first multi-species study in the thesis uses a data set, compiled for the parasitic Hymenoptera by Blackburn (1990), to address factors that may influence body size and clutch size. This study builds on previous analyses of the data (see Blackburn 1990, 1991a/b, Mayhew & Blackburn 1999) through the use of up-to-date phylogenetic information. Evidence is found that the host stage attacked by a parasitoid is associated with both body and clutch size, due to the amount of resources available for the developing parasitoids.

An additional 13 samples collected before 1990 were also included. Three tribes, 61 genera and 187 species were identified. Most of samples were collected during last 25 years or recorded in this time from seven different regions of Turkey by researchers. Among the species listed, Agrothereutes tiloidalis Kolarov & Beyaslan, 1994, Stilpnus adanaensis Kolarov & Beyaslan, 1994 and Aptesis cavigena Kolarov & Gürbüz, 2009 were described from Turkey. Also, these species are endemic to Anatolia. Detailed composition, biogeographic and zoogeographic data, vertical distribution, seasonal dynamics, individual diversity, available host data and plants visited by adults are given.
