INT. GARGAREAN LAIR - DAY ORPHEUS, tall, bearded, strawberry blond hair, stands before a towering mirror, as he is being primped and dressed by two man-servants. On his finger, they place a ring consisting of THREE SMALL ORBS, the size of a pearl joined together side-by-side, like a clover leaf DIANA (V.O.) After building Atlantis, the formidable city of wonders, they too became as corrupt as the rest of the land, allowing the prestige they'd garnered to prompt them to renounce Zeus as their god. Orpheus wears a gold-trimmed, emerald green toga, accentuated with a lustrous, falcon emblem armband that matches his crown, as he struts to the throne room. DIANA (V.O.) To counteract Orpheus' insolence, Hera gave rise to a new race modeled closely after the Gargareans, only they were all females. She called them AMAZONS and made their queen.

INT. GARGAREAN PRISON - DAY HERA (O.S.) Hippolyta, Hippolyta. Ravishing, even in rags and shackles, HIPPOLYTA, long black hair and piercing blue eyes, awakens and squints at the marvel that lies before her. DIANA (V.O.) The Amazons became legendary. Their mere existence was a testimony of the god’s amazement and the people of the land took notice. So too did Orpheus, who considered them a threat that needed to be eradicated.

INT. GARGAREAN PRISON - DAY (MOMENTS LATER) Hippolyta retrieves a coiled ROPE OF THE PUREST GOLD from the shadows of her filthy cell.

HIPPOLYTA A gift from the gods? It comes to life in her hands, burning with a fire that seals their union. She hurls one end of the lasso like a whip, across the metal bars of the cell door and yanks it off its hinges. She locates , her confidant. HIPPOLYTA (CONT’D) Antiope, are you OK? ANTIOPE My queen, how did you escape from your cell? HIPPOLYTA No time to explain now -- we need to free the rest of our sisters. The two venture out disabling Gargarean guards to free their Amazon sisters.

INT. GARGAREAN THRONE ROOM - DAY Sitting atop his throne, rubbing on the ring on his finger, Orpheus watches a royal sentinel shove through a horde of stark Gargarean soldiers to whisper into his ear. Afflicted by the severity of the official's message, Orpheus clutches the armrest of his throne and his eyes flare. Orpheus shoves the messenger and rises to his feet with a monstrous wail that captures the attention of all assembled in his court. ORPHEUS If those Amazon harlots wish to wage war, then we go to war! In response, they roar back. DIANA (V.O.) Orpheus conspired with Eurystheus, the king of Tiryns and Mycenae and convinced him to make Hippolyta’s magical girdle, the source of the Amazons’ strength, ’ NINTH LABOR of penance.

EXT. GARGAREAN COURTYARD - DAY TEN THOUSAND GARGAREAN WARRIORS, ready for battle, follow Orpheus' lead, in their enchanted armor with spears and shields in hand. DIANA (V.O.) Through deceit and trickery, Heracles drugged and bound the Amazons by the wrist and sold them to the Gargareans as concubine slaves and redeemed the magical girdle as his prize.

INT. GARGAREAN PRISON - DAY Scantily clad in rags and shackles, the Amazons stampede through a narrow corridor and out into a majestic courtyard. DIANA (V.O.) After several years of servitude, Hippolyta was compelled to return the favor of seizing the power source of Gargarean strength -- Orpheus’ clover-shaped, orb ring.

EXT. COURTYARD - DAY TEN THOUSAND GARGAREAN SOLDIERS confront THREE THOUSAND AMAZON WARRIORS. ORPHEUS These — women — seek to discount the power of the true Imperials of the land. I declare on this day that this will never happen! The swarm of Gargarean soldiers wail in cheer. HIPPOLYTA Show no mercy, sisters! Their weakness is their pride and Orpheus alone has enough of that to unravel them all from the core! The Amazons cheer. HIPPOLYTA (CONT’D) (showing her chains and shackles) They have foolishly armed us with their finest technology, Fenolium! (MORE) * Curly Raphino * [email protected] * (404)530-9693 * 5 HIPPOLYTA (CONT’D) This unique metal is as indestructible as this magical lasso granted to me by the gods! Use them as you would your swords, maces, bows and arrows. The Amazons raise their shackles and cheer even louder. HIPPOLYTA (CONT’D) We fight ‘till the end. We are warriors! We are Amazons! She flares in BATTLE CRY and the Amazons charge the Gargarean army head on. DIANA (V.O.) To protect the Amazons, Hippolyta intended to do anything to obtain Orpheus’ ring of power -- even kill. Despite being out-numbered, the Amazons prove to be superior warriors. They deflect spears and arrows with their manacles and use their chains to disarm and strangle their rivals. The battle escalates and spills out into the city. ARETMIS, a fearless, liu Amazon warrior slaughters several Gargareans. She quickly liberates one of her sisters, who is being dragged by the hair by a Gargarean.

EXT. TEMPLE - DAY United, they overpower and disarm several opponents in front of an elaborate temple dedicated to the Greek Pantheon. Artemis is about to slice through a rival’s neck, with his own sword, when Orpheus levels her to the ground and tears off her garb. ORPHEUS Now this is a much more suitable position for a woman -- on her back, ready to comply to her male superior. ARTEMIS I serve no man, especially you, Orpheus! ORPHEUS Pity! I suspected that would be your response. Bed or blade, your time is up. Prepare to join your maker, Amazon!
