NeWorks Resource Development, was created in 1994 for the purpose of providing creative services to the entertainment and theme park industries.

The company designed, invented, created, and produced dark rides, automated shows, and dark walks on an extensive range of themes for attractions throughout Europe. Work was also undertaken for the Singapore Science Museum. The company’s extensive production facilities included scenic works, sculpture, animatronics, engineering, show control, audiovisual systems, video and sound recording.

Wicksteed Park, Kettering, UK 2004 to date Non-Executive Director Nick Farmer is a Non-Executive Director of Wicksteed Park, one of the UK’s oldest leisure parks. He is employed in a creative development capacity, guiding the park’s development and master planning.

Art direction, Directed and supervised theming artistic effects on facades Directive to produce aged effect to the facades as from the 1930s and 40s. Universal Studio wanted the Hollywood and New York attraction to have a 1830’s weathered look.

The front of the buildings are what they do in the movies, just the front is built and then effects on the front facades are painted on, e.g. wood, stone, paint, metal, rust, weathered effects.

Art direction, Designed directed and supervised internal sculpture fabrication, installations and murals. Designed and produced structural drawing of T-Rex skeleton, achieved single cable to stabilse skeleton. All internal theme works in GFRC Achievement: Achieved World class workmanship.

T-Rex Skeleton : Designed and produced detailed drawings to engineer specifications, directed construction, sculpture, directed paint theming, Installation and rock works. Achieved using one 6mm stabilisation cable, due to perfect balance of sculpture.

Art direction, Designer, supervising and theming direction in production and execution of internal artistic and themed works.

Restaurant design mural “Book of the Dead”. Designed and constructed a method to apply Egyptian hieroglyphs on beams. The columns was sculptured out of styrene, a mould done, then casted in GFRC onsite and finished off with paint theme.

Universal Studios Singapore – Sesame Street “Spaghetti March 2012- March 2013 Space Chase” Dark Ride – Composer

The World’s First Immersive Sesame St. Theme Park Ride opened at Universal Studios Singapore in March 2013 with original music and audio design by Jon Baker Productions. Jon worked closely with the RWS project office on this dark ride which incorporates video, audio and animatronic elements created for all audiences and especially children ages 2-10.

HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD Jan-April 2013 Hershey’s Great Chocolate Factory Mystery – In 4D Soundtrack Producer-Onsite Mix

Hershey’s Chocolate World opened this “game changing” film experience in April 2013. It’s the first and only show of its kind. The Hershey’s Great Chocolate Factory Mystery in 4D features groundbreaking digital technology from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and Electrosonic (utilizing the 7th Sense Delta Media Server). Granaroli Design & Entertainment tapped Jon Baker to mix the music and film and to participate in the team that developed the operational protocol required to playback a film that offers a unique real-time experience with over 100 possible outcomes, as the audience determines the direction of the story through live participation.

Universal Studios Orlando May 2011-May 2012 “Superstar Parade” – Composer-Soundtrack Producer

2012 was Universal Orlando’s “Year to be Here” – during which the park created more new entertainment experiences across its entire destination than any other year in its history.

Universal’s “Superstar Parade” with audio produced by Thinkwell and composer/music director Jon Baker, brings an entirely new form of entertainment to Universal Studios Orlando that combines wildly creative floats with hundreds of performers and a slamming soundtrack to create whole new levels of fun and excitement.
