The period after the Second World War is still very interesting for many Dutch train simmers. Not only because railway companies had to deal with the enormous damage left by the war years, but it was also a period of renewal and expansion. Apart from the disappearance of the steam locomotive, which is still regretted by many hobbyists, many new types of equipment made their appearance at NS in the fifties, surrounded by a lot of publicity.

Following the establishment of the EEC in 1956, major European railway companies supported the initiative of the Dutch Railways (NS) to create a network of fast international connections under the name Trans Europ Express (TEE). The NS and the Swiss SBB / CFF then joined forces to build rolling stock for the Amsterdam-Zurich relationship. The four-part trainset that is the subject of this release was the result, with the Swiss industry (SIG and BBC) responsible for the two coaches and the driving trailer, while the Dutch Werkspoor NV constructed the engine unit. In 1957, the introduction of the Dutch-Swiss TEE at home and abroad attracted a striking amount of interest.

Still, more than half a century later, this train is far from being forgotten. Two driving trailers and three coaches have even been saved from the cutter's torch, awaiting a full restoration. Unfortunately, the financial resources of the initiators have been insufficient to bring this expensive project to a successful conclusion. Known for its fast train connections between important European cities such as the Edelweiss (Amsterdam-Zürich and vice versa), the TEE

The TrainworX/Wilbur Graphics SBB RAm TEE I will be made available as a .zip-file, containing the following items:

- Install program TwX_RAm_TEE_V10.exe

When started, the install .exe will prompt you to select and/or enter:

- Install procedure language (Dutch/English/French/German) - Alternative install path (default is ../SteamApps/Railworks/etc.) - Accepting an End User License Agreement (EULA) - Select installable objects (only one in this case) - Install key (a string of 6 digit groups)

Notes on installation

• You need to be connected to the internet • You need the activation code that you can find in your account • If the activation does not succeed please switch off any software that might block the connection • You DO NOT need to re-download the software if the installation fails, please fix any issues mentioned above and retry • You need to first unpack the zipped files before commencing installation • If the installer can’t find the Railworks folder please make sure that the Windows Registry correctly points to the Railworks folder. This situation normally only happens when you have manually moved your Steam environment to another PC or hard drive. You should then install Steam to the new location to fix the registry.

Remark: In order to get the full results of this add-on when building your own scenarios Wilbur Graphics must be linked as a provider to your route or scenario. This can be done in either the Scenario Editor or the Route Editor. The screen print below has been made in the first mentioned but both editors operate in the same way. First, select the small blue cube with the orange triangle in the left hand area of the screen. Next, in the right hand window that will then appear select provider Wilbur Graphics You can link this provider by ticking off the appropriate box:

You may select Expert modus in the menu window Settings > Gameplay > Train Controls.

Destinations displays (21) are situated at the sides of every coach and can be toggled between Zuerich-Amsterdam and Amsterdam-Zuerich. Speed limit is 140 km/h.

When you enter the cab for the first time, the train will be in the parking position. To be able to drive the engine, a number of (auxiliary) systems must first be switched on with either the mouse or a shortcut:

First move the master key a quarter turn to the left. This releases the control of the locomotive and the auxiliary power unit will start running. Next you have to start the main engines with Z (engine 1) and CTRL + Z (engine 2).

By applying the emergency brakes the direction selector will be reset to the 0-position and the engined are switched off. The control current is maintained.

Cabin lights switched on.

Panel lights only switched on.
