Description of the Issue

The National Distribution Centre (NDC) has received notification that on July 29, 2017 Cardinal Health acquired Medtronic’s Patient Recovery and DVT division. Hence Cardinal Health will maintain the worldwide responsibility for these product portfolios and all the manufacturing facilities indicated in Appendix 1 enclosed.

Progressively over the next couple of years, the Covidien™ brand will be removed from the device labelling including Packaging, Device labels, Instructions for Use (IFUs), User Manuals, Quick Start Guides. An example of such change is indicated in Appendix 2. The new legal manufacturer’s name will change from Covidien llc, 15 Hampshire Street, Mansfield, MA 02048, to Cardinal Health, 200 LLC, 3651 Birchwood Drive, Waukegan, Illinois, 60085, USA. This change will not affect the product specifications and performance, the manufacturing processes or quality inspection procedures.
