    PARC NATIONAL DU MONT-TREMBLANT CAHIER HISTORIQUE 1895 - 2020 1 LA NAISSANCE DU TERRITOIRE Le parc national du Mont-Tremblant, le doyen des parcs nationaux du Québec fête ses 125 ans ! Territoire de grande nature, il se découvre au fil des décennies à travers plusieurs vocations. Chevauchant deux régions administratives, les Laurentides et Lanaudière, ses 1510 km2 se divisent en trois secteurs : La Diable, La Pimbina et L’Assomption. Aujourd’hui, il est un lieu de prédilection pour les amateurs de plein air. L’AIR PUR ET SEC : L’ORIGINE DU PARC NATIONAL DU MONT-TREMBLANT C’est un sanatorium, un établissement spécialisé dans le traitement des maladies pulmonaires, qui est à l’origine de la création du parc national du Mont-Tremblant. À la fin du 19e siècle, le docteur Camille Laviolette croit en la guérison de la tuberculose si l’on s’expose à l’air pur, sec et frais des montagnes. En 1894, voyant en la montagne Tremblante le site idéal, il fait la demande afin d’obtenir une concession des terres. Le gouvernement du Québec retient la suggestion et cède 60 km2 pour la création de ce centre de soins. Le parc de la Montagne-Tremblante naîtra le 12 janvier 1895, il devient ainsi le 3e parc au Canada et le 6e en Amérique du Nord. Il s’inscrit dans l’histoire mondiale des aires protégées aux côtés des parcs de Yellowstone, Yosemite, Séquoia, Banff et Yoho.     Liste annotée des oiseaux des Cantons-de-l’Est - Denis Lepage – 12 juin 2016 Liste annotée des oiseaux des Cantons-de-l’Est Denis Lepage Cette liste annotée est une mise à jour de la liste publiée dans le livre L’observation des oiseaux en Estrie (Lepage 1993), et contient toutes les espèces rapportées dans la région de l’Estrie, telle que définie au moment de la préparation du livre, soit 340 espèces en date du 11 juin 2016 (en plus des espèces exotiques et des mentions hypothétiques). Cette région correspond aujourd’hui plus ou moins à la région touristique des Cantons-de-l’Est, qui inclut les MRC de Granby-Bromont et de Brome-Missisquoi, mais incluait également la MRC de l’Amiante, aujourd’hui incluse de la région de Chaudière-Appalaches (ex., Thetford Mines). De plus, certaines municipalités ont été fusionnées en 2000, mais les noms utilisés dans ce document réfèrent aux anciennes municipalités puisque ces derniers sont en général plus précis. Les noms français, anglais et scientifique des espèces sont basés sur la 7 e édition de la liste de l’American Ornithologists’ Union, incluant les suppléments publiés dans la revue The Auk jusqu’en juillet 2015. Les codes qui suivent immédiatement le nom scientifique de chaque espèce représentent le statut et l’abondance dans la région des Cantons de l’Est (Tableau 1). Statut et abondance relative . Directement placés après le nom scientifique de l'espèce, un ou plusieurs codes de deux lettres présentent le statut et l'abondance relative de l'espèce en région. Les codes sont placés entre parenthèses, les majuscules indiquant le statut, et les minuscules l'abondance.
