Nguyen: Vietnamese Skilled Migration Introduction Since 1975, the outward mobilities of Vietnamese people have become more pronounced in scale and intensity due to social, political, and economic changes in Vietnam. Such a transnational movement of people has enabled migration research to investigate the motivations and effects of international migration on Vietnamese society. The burgeoning research on Vietnamese migration can be classified into three main streams.
