GENERAL PROFILE MAJOR NATURAL RESOURCES MAJOR ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES AND PRODUCTS AGRICULTURE LOCATION Northern Maize is the province’s staple crop and is grown in all parts of the province, Eastern Province is one of the Zambia’s ten provinces. The province lies between the AGRICULTURAL LAND mostly by small scale farmers (90%). and borders with to the east and to the south, from Chama in the Northeast to Copperbelt North-Western There are about 431,957 cattle, 166,109 goats, 19,746 sheep, 251,820 pigs and the North of Luangwa in the South.
