Smith (Gold – line up in 2nd floor, Cominsky Promenade) Rehearsal will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 8 in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. Continental breakfast will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. All degree candidates are expected to attend. Rehearsal should last approximately one hour. Red Aisle 4 Aisle The 2018 Commencement will take place on Sunday, June 10, in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m.; the doors open at 9:15 a.m. for guests. Arrival time and robing: Graduates should arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. Graduates will robe in the Lowry Hall (main hallway) of the Eastman School (Gibbs Street entrance). The bookstore representatives will be located in the Kilbourn Hall Lobby for students (adjacent to Lowry Hall). Green Aisle 3 Aisle Caps and gowns that have been ordered will be available at the Bookstore during the week prior to Commencement. Doctoral graduates must return rented attire to the Bookstore by Tuesday, June 12th. *Note: At the University of Rochester, men remove their caps when seated, but the cap is kept on while marching, standing, and hooding. Mobility-impaired guests: If a student has a handicapped guest attending the ceremony Aisle 2 Aisle Blue (left) who may need assistance, please notify staff at the Rehearsal or call the Commencement Office at (585) 275-4111. Diploma distribution will take place immediately following the ceremony in the main hallway of the Eastman School - Lowry Hall. Students graduating AFTER the Spring Quarter will receive their diplomas once their degrees have been conferred. A reception for all graduates, faculty, and guests will be held in the tents across Gibbs Street immediately following the ceremony. All are cordially invited. Copies of the program for candidates will be placed on your seats. Assembly: Recognition of the Ph.D.: Master’s candidates will assemble into four single-file columns.     Quarantine Information for Simon Graduate Students What is quarantine? Quarantine means staying in your house for the duration of a 14-day incubation period and monitoring yourself for any potential signs of infection. Quarantining means that you can’t go out—not to work, school, or public places. While it is vital to keep in touch with friends, significant others, and family via phone or text, it is not possible to spend any time with them during the 14 days. Who must quarantine? All graduate students arriving from hot spot states or from an international location should plan to quarantine for 14 days in their graduate housing space or their off-campus residence. Quarantine must be completed prior to coming on campus for any reasons. Please see the list of restricted states for a current list of the states designated as COVID-19 hot spots. Students traveling from these states will be required to quarantine for 14 days. Students arriving from international locations also are required to quarantine for 14 days, per CDC guidance. Students from states designated as hot spots who plan to arrive on campus for the start of the semester may quarantine on their own in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) or in any state not on the NYS list of restricted states for 14 days prior to their scheduled move-in date. When should I arrive in Rochester if I need to do a 14-day quarantine? If you wish to participate in person for Welcome Week starting August 17, you should start your quarantine by August 2.

This will include some passport and financial information; you will also need to upload a copy of the passport and financial information. You will need to use your University of Rochester NetID in order to complete this process. You received your account information shortly before you started the MBA Program; this included NetID information, but the NetID must be initialized by the student.
