Manuel Alejandro Escudero Uchuari Cuenca 2016 Universidad de Cuenca RESUMEN El presente proyecto “percusión sinfónica: guía de recursos técnicos, sonoros y escritura” consta de una recopilación de información teórico - práctica de la fisonomía, producción del sonido, técnicas de ejecución, escritura específica, afinación, complementos sonoros y medios de ejecución de varios instrumentos de percusión sinfónica, enfocado en el uso práctico del material por músicos, arreglistas, directores, y percusionistas que se interesen por esta rama de la música. El trabajo se ha desarrollado en cuatro capítulos, empezando por una descripción de la fisonomía y la producción del sonido en cada instrumento, planteando de esta manera las bases sobre las cuales se van a desarrollar los capítulos siguientes; como segundo punto se han presentado las posibilidades técnicas que posee cada instrumento, enfocándose en los modos de ejecución tradicionales y específicos de cada uno; el tercer punto es el uso de los complementos sonoros, las baquetas y demás accesorios que se usan para ejecutar los diversos instrumentos además de sus combinaciones; se trata también la posición y el desplazamiento frente a los instrumentos, tomando en cuenta la diversidad con la que se trabaja y su amplia gama de complementos, además su correcto uso y especificación en las partituras, tema trascendental al momento de trabajar con estos instrumentos; en el último capítulo se trabaja con la escritura tradicional y específica de la familia de la percusión, explicando su nomenclatura en diversos casos, además se complementa este estudio tratando el tema de la percusión múltiple, tema específico de esta familia de instrumentos, los planos de ubicación que se refieren a la manera de realizar un gráfico espacial de la posición de los instrumentos para la ejecución de obras de percusión múltiple, además se trata un tema muy importante que es el de la afinación ya que los instrumentos membranófonos y los idiófonos poseen métodos diferentes y variados para este propósito. Se ha creado un listado de los instrumentos en varios idiomas, siendo esto de gran ayuda al momento de trabajar con partituras de origen diverso, además se brinda una guía de consejos prácticos al momento de ejecutar o trabajar con los instrumentos de percusión sinfónica, enfocándose en el plano solista, de ensamble y en el ámbito sinfónico. Pedro Andrés Fernández Martínez - 2 - Universidad de Cuenca ABSTRACT The following Project “Symphonic percussion: Technical guide, sound and writting resources” is of a collection of theoretical and practical information about the physiognomy, production of the sound, technique of performance, specific writing, tuning, add-ons, means of performance of various symphonic percussion instruments, focused on the practical use of the material from musicians, arrangers, conductors and percussionists that are interested in this branch of the music. This work has been developed in four chapters. Beginning with a description of the physiognomy and the production of the sound of this instruments, thus laying the foundation on which we will develop the following chapters. As second point we present the technical possibilities by each instrument focusing on traditional and specific modes of performance on each. The third point talks about the use of sound complements, sticks and accessories that we use to play various instruments and also their combinations. Also we talk about the position and displacement in front of the instruments, taking into account with which we work and wide range of accessories, also their right use and specification on the scores, important issue when working with these instruments, on the last chapter we talk about the traditional and specific writing of the percussion family, explaining the nomenclature in several cases, it is also complemented this study with the topic of multiple percussion, specific topic of the percussion family, the location plans that relating to how to perform spatial position graph of instruments to the development of pieces of multiple percussion. Also we talk about a very important topic, the tuning, since membranophones instruments and idiophones have different and varied methods for this purpose. We created a list of instruments in various languages, this being of great help when we work with scores of different origin, also we bring, in addition, a guide providing practical advices when play or work with symphonic percussion instruments, focusing on the soloist, assembly or orchestral field. Abstract Impressions pour caisse claire et deux toms (1999) by French percussionist Nicolas Martynciow is an extremely challenging multi-movement composition for the snare drum. At over eleven-minutes in duration, Impressions is one of the longest and most technically demanding works for the solo snare drummer. This composition places significant emphasis on the timbral capabilities of the snare drum and features a wide array of distinct sounds that are generated using both standard and extended techniques.
