Beware of Media AKA Mediums ● media (n.) It is the mechanism used to convey information meant to influence the receivers actions, behaviors, and or thoughts. Movies are a form of media. Horror movies are specifically meant to put one in a state of fear. News Media therefore is the mechanism by which reports/rumors are conveyed in order to influence one’s behavior, actions, and or thoughts. Mass Media is when this is done on a national or mutli-national level.
