During the 84 years of its existence, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has blossomed into an ever- growing voluntary, apolitical, national movement with an international outlook, devoted to life, literature and culture. Its head quarters is at Mumbai. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Senior Secondary School, Kodunganoor, Thiruvananthapuram offers all classes from LKG to XII. The CBSE Syllabus is followed in the school and co-education is offered. It will be based solely on merit and availability of seats. The list of candidates selected for admission will be put up on the school notice board. The admission will be finalized after aptitude test/interview, the date and time of which will be intimated. LKG to Class V: Navy Blue pinafore (Square neck) and sky blue shirt (half sleeves with collar) and belt. Class VI to X: Navy Blue Salwar, Sky blue Kammeez, Navy Blue over coat, Two plaits with Sky blue Ribbon for long hair and sky blue hair bands for short hair. Class XI & XII: Uniform colour same as VI to X plus Navy Blue border measuring half an inch on the sleeves LKG to Class V: Navy Blue shorts and sky blue half sleeves shirt with belt. Class VI to X: Navy Blue Pants, Sky blue half sleeves shirt with belt Class XI & XII: Uniform same as VI to X Plus Two : Navy Blue borders measuring ¼ inch (quarter inch) on the collar For both Boys and Girls from I to Class XII Students should wear House Track Suit and T-shirt on Physical Education period as per the time table. For both Boys and Girls from LKG to Class XII Black leather shoes and Navy blue socks with blue uniform All students from LKG to Class V will be allowed to wear modest colour dress on their birthdays PRINCIPAL .

In a world falling to piece under the impact of an amoral technologies avalanche, it tries to hold fast the fundamental values for which our culture stands Rita, Satya, Yagna, and Tapas. Faith in god who informs Cosmic Order; Truth which is accord between mind, word and deed; Dedication which offers all movements of life as an offering to God; Sublimation which purifies the body and mind and transmutes instincts, passion and emotions into things of beauty. This, regardless of forms and doctrines, is Dharma, the three- fold aspects of which are SATYAM, SHIVAM, and SUNDARAM- Truth, Love and Beauty. For these values our forefathers lived and died. So did Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Dayanda, Gandhiji and Sri Aurobindo, among the moderns. These values are embedded in our national outlook.
