Cocco will perform songs from her brand new album, titled "Get Me" at this "Women Who Rock" Showcase featuring special guests Carolyn Striho, Rio & the Rockabilly Revival and American Idol's Keri Lynn Roche. "It's a privilege to be producing this Detroit Women of Rock event and creating a forum for Forgotten Harvest to raise awareness of families needing a food in Michigan," said Janel Stone, Founder of 7 Stone Management. Fresh from the recording studio and signing her first management contract with Detroit's power promoter / manager Janel Stone of 7 Stone Management, Maggie Cocco is excited to debut her album "Get Me" which reflects her musical fusion of old time rock and roll, layered with rhythmic blues and soaring melodies. This ten track CD is a unique combination of strong vocalists meets diverse instrumentals. "Maggie has worked hard on this CD and she has an undeniable powerful and beautiful voice," said Stone. Carolyn Striho is a veteran Detroit singer/songwriter with high-energy performances and award winning music, who has rocked stages across Europe, Lollapalooza and Michigan's Arts Beats & Eats Festival. Combining her punk rock attitude, with the soothing sound of her acoustic guitar, Striho is a strong presence on the Detroit indie music scene and has opened for such acts as The Ramones and Iggy Pop. This charismatic performer with a soulful acoustic sound may have traveled all over the world, yet is a Detroit girl at heart. The feeling is clearly mutual with an impressive 50 Detroit Music Award nominations and 7 Detroit Music Award wins. Jet travel and the widespread availability of recordings are factors that have led to an increasingly homogenous sound concept in American trumpet playing; this is a stark contrast to the unique regional sounds that existed in the United States in the middle of the twentieth century. Despite the growing dissipation of these regional sound concepts from the mid- century, it is important to understand the styles and pedagogy associated with these schools. In this paper, six player/teachers are associated with specific regional playing styles: Vincent Cichowicz in Chicago, Louis Davidson in Cleveland, Armando Ghitalla in Boston, John Haynie in the Southwest, James Stamp on the West Coast, and William Vacchiano in New York City. Each of these players made a notable impact on the trumpet world through their performances, recordings, and unprecedented legacy of students.

Doch war dies immer nur eine Facette seines künstlerischen Weltbilds: In erster Linie sieht sich der Hannoveraner als Songwriter. Und als solcher hat er bereits einige Erfolge vorzuweisen: Mit "More & More" gelang ihm ein Mini-Hit, erschienen auf dem Label des Fanta-4-Managers Bär Läsker. Dort veröffentlichte Kuersche auch die CD "I'm Here". Im Anschluss tourte Kuersche mit Nena durch Deutschland. Mit einigen Fury-Musikern als Backing-Band ging Kuersche hiernach auf Tournee. 2002 veröffentlichte Kuersche seine CD "Chinese Firecrackers". Bundesweit ist er ständig auf Tour, unter anderem als Tour-Support für Paul Carrack (Mike and the Mechanics- Sänger) und Runrig. 2004 veröffentlichte Kuersche die "Chinese Firecrackers Piano-Edition" und spielte support für Ronan Keating und Bob Geldorf. "If you go", das Video zum Album, lief auf Viva "Fast Forward" und Onyx Rotation. Zum 10-jährigen Kuersche-Jubiläum wurde der Live-Mitschnitt "Kuersche feat. Members of Fury in the Slaughterhouse LIVE" veröffentlicht. Das neuste Album von Kuersche heißt "Oxygen Overdose". In Begleitung des sehr virtuosem Schlagzeugers Kommander Kniep oder sogar mit dem Promi Drumer Rainer Schumann von (Fury in the Slaughterhouse) und diverser elektronischer Hilfsmittel, die es ihm unter anderem erlauben, mit seiner elektrischen Gitarre gleich auch noch die Basslinien zu spielen.
