Its undulating roof is an extension of the ground plane, providing staff seasonal exterior break-out spaces surrounded by native wild grasses while enhancing their everyday connection to nature.

Two setbacks organize the massing into three tiers, indicating the changes of use within the tower. The setbacks also serve as sky terraces. Its unique all-glass skin is comprised of an enclave of clear, translucent and opaque glass, allowing it to function as a passive high performance wall within the extreme desert climate while still providing floor-to-ceiling views to its users.

The master plan takes into consideration the planned underground utility network Function: Mixed use for the site and uses it as its underlaying organization principle. The series of open spaces connect through view corridors created by the dynamic shapes of the individual building segments and strategically placed building cantilevers. The sloping roofs and the low-rise nature of the buildings helps the development to be embedded in the natural topography of the city without obstructing the views between the individual hills created by the meandering Yantra River.

With the capacity to serve 90 million passengers a year, the first stage of the airport and the Airport City project will enter service next year.

The Airport City will be located near the main terminal and the parking area, and will be constructed simultaneously with the terminal. The plan is to open the first stage of the airport and the airport city at the same time.

© JO PALMA + PARTNERS CORPORATION 2020 DRAKE HOTEL This picture frame expansion study was proposed to a prospective PROJECT FACTS buyer of the Drake Hotel as a means to increase hotel capacity while Location: Chicago, IL introducing private residences within the existing hotel footprint. Conceptual Study, 2017 The concept includes adding two towers above each end of the existing building. A west tower provides additional hotel capacity with serviced apartments, while the east tower incorporates private residences with uninterrupted views to Lake Michigan. The two towers are interconnected at the top by grand amenity spaces including a glass bottom pool and a publicly accessible restaurant and lounge.
