Sustainability Guidebook Dear Supplier, Levi Strauss & Co. is recognized as a leader in corporate citizenship, including ethical practices in sourcing production around the world. Please read carefully below what changes have been made to the LS&Co. Sustainability Guidebook to assess whether it is applicable to your operations. Then read the relevant sections in the Guidebook to know what it means for you. While this Guidebook is applicable from January 1, 2018 forward, we understand that you will need some time to make necessary changes to comply with the additional or updated requirements. TOE Assessments carried out in January 1, 2018 will list recommendations related to these requirements, but they will not be rated. As of June 1, 2018, the new requirements will be rated in the Corrective Action Plan, as per the 2017 LS&Co. Sustainability Guidebook. New sections: • Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WaSH) • Energy Management • Canteen • Water Management Updated sections: • Gender Equality edits in: • Finishing Guidelines o Disciplinary Practices • Health Training o Wages and Benefits • First Aid o General Labor Practices and • Common Diseases Freedom of Association • Preventing Communicable Disease o Discrimination • Wastewater: Global Effluent • Modern Slavery edits in: Requirements (GER) replaced with o Prison, Forced or Trafficked Zero Discharge of Hazardous Labor Chemicals (ZDHC) standard and o General Labor Practices and process.
